What if the US became isolationist again?
What if the US became isolationist again?
good
if people dont like us they dont deserve our help
>current year
>isolationist country
That would be good for your image. Do it.
>brazil
>lecturing anyone about anything
the reason you want globalism is because your country is literal garbage. A good country like the US will prosper with isolationism.
>isolationist
>superpower
pick one
First, most immediate consequence: China starts throwing its weight around. Well, they already are, but even more. Without its richest, most powerful member, NATO begins to lose importance. It will also begin to affect trade as well, though I'm not educated enough in economic matters to say whether that'll be good or bad.
Legoman pls
Better for America. Worse for the world.
I'm finr with it as long as you understand you're paying for your own fucking wall
not possible
>
China isn't going full force because if they do their economy (and Asia's) will literally implode.
The US was relatively weak in Asia until 2015.
Yet China was much less aggressive before 2015.
Sometimes what we see as Chinese aggression provoking us, they see as American aggression provoking them.
>China starts throwing its weight around.
>I'm fine with it
I'm not.
Here's a product of American intervention.
Why?
Without the World Police shit would go bad pretty fast I would imagine
And here lies the proof that americans only hate globalism...if it's not their version of globalism.
Fucking hell why do you choose to pander to that idiot Trump and not fucking Ron Paul. I don't give a fuck about his policies minus the part of shuting down all the foreign bases and stop interfering with other countries.
That would have been perfect. Actual...change.
>China isn't going full force because if they do their economy (and Asia's) will literally implode.
By full force, what do you mean? No geopolitical powers haven't gone "full force" technically.
The reason for China's aggressions is to divert its citizens' grievance from mounting domestic issues before they go against their government. China could suppress its people but even as a one oarty dictatorship it can't do that forever so it needs to plan something up before the implosion starts.
Are you asking that seriously?
>No geopolitical powers haven't gone
*have gone
>The reason for China's aggressions is to divert its citizens' grievance from mounting domestic issues before they go against their government.
Wait, didn't China have a de-facto recession in 1999?
Where was the aggression to deflect their citizens interests then?
Why was China so pro-Japan in 1960-1980? That was when China was Maoist and horrible.
Why was China not aggressive during the height of the 2008 recession?
China is aggressive now because its citizens feel surrounded by hostile powers. Furthermore, Obama is a weak president who is unwilling to stand up to China. It's that simple.
>Are you asking that seriously
Yes.
Why do you fear China?
Of all the countries in the region, they feel the closest to you Koreans. Their 3rd most powerful Politburo member is openly pro-Korea. He also wants to remove Fatty 3.
Problem is, America likes having North Korea around.
Why else would we need to be there, containing China and pulling South Korea towards us, if North Korea wasn't a threat?
China hasn't experienced any reccessions before. It is entering to the reccession now though.
>Why was China so pro-Japan in 1960-1980?
How were they pro-Japan then?
>Why was China not aggressive during the height of the 2008 recession?
What are you talking about? The worldwide recession in 2008 barely had impacts on China.
>Obama is a weak president who is unwilling to stand up to China. It's that simple.
No. Apart from "weak" you're describing Trump.
>China is aggressive now because its citizens feel surrounded by hostile powers.
Maybe Chinese citizens should ask themselves if their country is not the one being a hostile power towards other countries? Your arguments reflect typical Chinese shills under web brigade operation.
the world politics cand stand vacuum, so I imagine there would be a lot of tensions in Europe with Russians trying to retake control over the EE, UK trying to become a thing again and Germany wanting to maintain status quo as the economical hegemony. Chineases would try to renegotiate all their financal deals with the west, because we are privileged in current ones and secure they position on Pacific, which means conflicts with Indians, Japan, Australia and Taiwan.
Last time the USA withdrew to America everyone went mad and Krauts started WW2.
utter delusion
dome yourself , the world will celebrate. maybe nuke yellowstone while youre so
Why we fear China? Simple. They are the only country that has actually invaded our country in the modern era. When you have a gigantic neighboring country that is in the opposite geopolitical side of yours, how can you not fear it?
>Of all the countries in the region, they feel the closest to you Koreans.
No. They feel that we are the "easiest". We used to submit to their influences for thousands of years so it's understandable that they would think so.
>Problem is, America likes having North Korea around.
America isn't the one that has North Korea as their pawn. Even after North Korea is eliminated, our country's geopolitical importance for the US remains valid.
>Why else would we need to be there, containing China and pulling South Korea towards us
We are located in the easternmost post of Asian continent, and there's Japan right next to us. That bares enough signficance when it comes to maintaining your influence in the Pacific.
WW2 started because an American president needed the votes of Polish immigrants, therefor he allowed Poland to annex West Prussia as their corridor to the sea.
>help
haha dumbass
Why are euros always trying to blame us for everything? ;_;
Everyone needs a scapegoat and we just happen to be the biggest kid on the block atm
Brazil is already isolationist as fuck senpai.
you forgot that Poles literally won with Germans there and they just accepted it.
>China hasn't experienced any reccessions before.
Uhhh?
>It is entering to the reccession now though
Except it is not. They actually just had the strongest quarterly growth since 2013.
>How were they pro-Japan then?
uhhh dude....
u.osu.edu
>The worldwide recession in 2008 barely had impacts on China.
Lmao u wut?
They went from 17% growth to 6% growth in one year, and exports fell 40%.
>No.
What? Obama has been the most pro-Chinese president in American history.
>Apart from "weak" you're describing Trump.
Hahahahahhaah Trump is literally proposing 50% tariffs on China, a ban on Chinese immigrants, and blockading the straits of Malacca to cut of China's oil.
>Maybe Chinese citizens should ask themselves if their country is not the one being a hostile power towards other countries?
A lot of them think that way. Then again, almost all Chinese agree that their country is surrounded by enemies that want to destroy them.
>Your arguments reflect typical Chinese shills under web brigade operation.
Yep. I am Xi Jinping himself.
>They are the only country that has actually invaded our country in the modern era.
What is Japan?
>When you have a gigantic neighboring country that is in the opposite geopolitical side of yours, how can you not fear it?
But they are not on the opposite geopolitical side as Korea. China is only opposed to Japan and America. Korea has been left out of it until the deployment of THAAD.
>They feel that we are the "easiest". We used to submit to their influences for thousands of years so it's understandable that they would think this.
Can I have some evidence of this? All the Chinese I know love Korea.
Furthermore, Korea has high ratings in China.
>America isn't the one that has North Korea as their pawn.
How would having NK as our pawn change its usefulness for us?
>Even after North Korea is eliminated, our country's geopolitical importance for the US remains valid.
Of course, but as George Bush and Clinton have stated, our forces would not need to be there if NK was not a threat.
>That bares enough signficance when it comes to maintaining your influence in the Pacific.
And our military does not have to be in your country and in control of your military to maintain that influence.
>Apart from "weak" you're describing Trump
Lmao this nigga actually thinks Trump likes China more than Obama.
China is the new Jew in American politics. Trump's entire campaign is China bashing.
so defend yourselves from them or start sucking american dick every single day
Go home, Mr Smith. Korea for the Koreans. Nobody likes a gook getter.
So either you are China's bitch, or America's bitch?
Why not be the bitch of neither?
>Problem is, America likes having North Korea around.
We don't. However, a divided Korea is a weaker Korea and that benefits the Chinese and Japanese.
>again
>help
Lol...
>Lmao this nigga actually thinks Trump likes China more than Obama.
No American leaders actually like Obama.
>Trump's entire campaign is China bashing.
Economically yes, militarily no. From Trump's perspective any country that the US has a trade deficit with is the "new Jews". That includes not only China, but South Korea Japan and others.
>Except it is not.
bloomberg.com
>They went from 17% growth to 6% growth in one year, and exports fell 40%.
Exaggeration: the post
>Obama has been the most pro-Chinese president in American history.
On what basis? I've seen gazillion times edgy alt-rightists insisting that he is a warmonger who's eager to provoke China.
I see that Obama's attitudes has been criticized to be too soft, but at least he is not a fucking isolationist.
Name me one country that wants to destroy China and also is able to attempt it.
>What is Japan?
China is the only country that has invaded ROK. North Korea doesn't count as it beligs to us by our constitution.
>China is only opposed to Japan and America. Korea has been left out of it until the deployment of THAAD.
I must say you're so fucking naive. They had missiles and radars that target our country, which were installed long before THAAD became a thing.
>Can I have some evidence of this?
viewsnnews.com
A Chinese official has stated "South Korea is a country that we would've taken care of if there hadn't been America."
And yes, if they don't consider us "easy" there's no way they're giving dozens of damages to us. You don't even know what these are, right? And you wonder "Why can't China and Korea get along." Haha
>George Bush and Clinton have stated, our forces would not need to be there if NK was not a threat.
That doesn't mean South Korea and the US won't need each other as allies.
+50
Also,
>Why not be the bitch of neither?
Because neutrality doesn't work to any fucking country. Poland stayed "neutral" and was beaten by USSR and Nazis. Finland stayed neutral and had to fight alone in Winter War.
If you want to be """neutral""" then either your country should be irrelevant or it should be fucking powerful enough to be match every powers surrounding it.
>No American leaders actually like Obama.
*No American leaders actually like China, why would Obama?
Sounds very good. I can see the scene, sea of Japan is nuked by JSDF and N/S Koreans get angry
Our version of globalism is the only western friendly one.
Unless Europe can actually manage to put aside their feuding, or find some other rare piece of tech to dominate the world with again.
Get used to sucking Chinese dick though. Not that it will be that hard for you all.
>+50
? What did user mean by this ?
Except only China is supposed to get a 50% tariff.
>militarily no
Explain? How is putting three US carriers off China's coast, not militarily strong?
bloomberg.com
This is bait.
>Exaggeration
[citation needed]
>edgy alt-rightists insisting that he is a warmonger who's eager to provoke China.
What the fuck am I reading?
You must be South Korean because your posts make no sense.
Alt-rightists want to nuke China. They hate it.
>Name me one country that wants to destroy China and also is able to attempt it.
Japan.
>China is the only country that has invaded ROK. North Korea doesn't count as it beligs to us by our constitution.
These are some serious mental gymnastics. Japan was present with us in invading North Korea. Which is Korea.
>They had missiles and radars that target our country,
And America has missiles and radars that target Mexico and Canada. That doesn't mean a thing if there are no threats attached.
>A Chinese official has stated "South Korea is a country that we would've taken care of if there hadn't been America."
In fucking 1950. What the fuck is your point? This is completely correct.
But 1950 was literally 66 years ago.
>And yes, if they don't consider us "easy" there's no way they're giving dozens of damages to us. You don't even know what these are, right? And you wonder "Why can't China and Korea get along." Haha
Tell me about all these damages.
>That doesn't mean South Korea and the US won't need each other as allies.
And nowhere have I argued against this. I simply believe 34,000 American soldiers shouldn't be in a country, in control of its military, for centuries on end.
What? Because Obama believes he can negotiate and deal with the Chinese. Who do you think withdrew from Scarborough in 2012? Who do you think allowed other countries to join AIIB?
>Because neutrality doesn't work to any fucking country.
What is Switzerland?
>Poland stayed "neutral" and was beaten by USSR and Nazis.
Uhhhhh what kind of history are they teaching you guys in Korea?
>Finland stayed neutral and had to fight alone in Winter War.
uhhhhhhhh.... Dude. It was supported extensively by the Nazis, and was an ally.
We own u
Majorca is good vacation spot
here's a banana
The only form of globalism I support is one where America takes over every other country and forms a United Earth Federation tbqh
I support the one where we actually have secure borders.
That's dumb, borders shouldn't exist you dingus.
>Finland was supported extensively by the Nazis during the Winter War
No. Nazis just gave them weapons at the beginning of the conflict.
You're thinking of the Continuation War
Go to bed pixy
By "+50" I mean that you sound much like 50 cent brigades. Do you get it now?
>How is putting three US carriers off China's coast, not militarily strong?
Is that Trump's policy? Lmao
Yes, your fact is exaggerated. Pic related.
Chinese economy has been blooming every year thanks to booming investments. Unlike the US or other western countries which has suffered at least in every decade.
>You must be South Korean because your posts make no sense.
Of course I am, you fucking retard.
>Alt rightists want to nuke China
AHAHAHAHAHA
I've interacted with opinions of Americans in Youtube, Facebook and other web communities and forums. And to be frank, I can't help but say that your descritption is dumb as fuck.
Alt-rightists hate China as long as they think it is hurting America. That's it. Do you think they care if China invades and occupy our country? Do you think they understand why US's influences in foreign countries are vital? No.
It's also funny that they are happy to see anti-American nutballs from China/Russia make fun of America with topics that fit to their agenda (feminism, immigrants etc)
It doesn't work for Brazil because you have shit tier people for the most part.
Same reason it probably wouldn't work for the USA, because their government is corrupt as fuck.
Might work for a smaller country like Canada that's rich in natural resources and significantly less corrupt, but it's still better for us to get along with the USA and other trading partners.
idk what you mean by that but The Pixies are a good band
kys yourself fag
Nah, we are all one race, the human race. Borders r dum and so r u
Canada is a larger country than USA
>What is Switzerland?
1. Swizerland is geopolitically "irrelevant". We aren't.
2. They've gone through alot to achieve their neutrality. If you don't know, look it up.
To correct my post I meant to say "neutrality doesn't work to every country" but I did clarify the terms where it is possible for a country to be neutral.
Having said that, I didn't expect you to mention Siwtzerland and mention Switzerland is neutral (which would imply "And why can't South Korea?").
>what kind of history are they teaching you guys in Korea?
What's your point? The Nazis didn't knew the Allied forces would go war with them if they invaded Poland. On the other hand, China knows as long as we are the US's ally, it's their suicide to invade us.
>It was supported extensively by the Nazis, and was an ally.
Haven't you thought it was only option left for them because it couldn't seek supports from the Allied states?
We have 1/10th the population.
>Might work for a smaller country like Canada that's rich in natural resources and significantly less corrupt
No way are you stupid.
What the fuck is this pic's agenda anyway
Radical centrism?
Nihilism
Would be more than ok with that 2bh.
Arabs won't chimp out anymore.
What are you talking about? We stick our big nose in everything. That's, like, our thing. Ya know?
>What if the US became isolationist again?
It would be tough at first for the UK but in the long term it would be a good thing, as it would force Britain to carve out a more independent role for itself in the world. Although this has already started to happen, thanks to the end of the Cold War and the relative economic decline of the US, an isolationist USA would speed it up.
Post-WW2 we really had no choice but to attach ourselves to the US because the nation was economically and militarily and literally falling apart, but now our fundamentals are getting stronger more is becoming possible.
>Without its richest, most powerful member, NATO begins to lose importance.
I wonder would Canada remain in NATO if the USA left?
instantly world peace
>isolationism
What does that even mean? You withdraw all your troops and fleets and delete the cancer you installed on our servers?
Or will you just act like you're not involved, but at the same time keep a hand on everyones throat?
Isolationism is bullshit.
Less international trade and closed borders as well.
