Vs Code spies on you(telemetry) even when disabled. Btw, I just learned that Visual Studio Code isn't open source. It's built on top on VsCode which is(which still sends telemetry when not supposed to). So unless you downloaded it from GitHub you aren't even using the open source version. Microsoft are hiding this.
Why have Microsoft gotten so bad? They had potential to be goat. They just shit on their user and release pure bloated garbage(Windows 10). I used to love VsCode but now I can't even use it because I can't trust them even with open source software lmao.
Can't believe there is still people out there using this trash. They had potential to be goat but really proved that they don't care about technology and only care about fucking their user in the ass.
Nolan Campbell
>Why have Microsoft gotten so bad? They weren't good in the first place.
Jordan Sanders
just lmao at how the devs just stop replying... fucking drone cucks

Old news is very old

tl;dr botnet
Dominic Rivera
it's just too funny how vs code was supposed to be a peace treat to the open source community but is actually a spyware LOL
Evan Walker
Yet retards on Sup Forums will argue you can disable it. Why don't they just use Vim? I echo your sentiments, I can't believe it also.
Levi Johnson
Holy shit, I suspected this was the case but thought they wouldn't dare, how naive I was.
Chase Smith
Ackshullly.jpg, you cant. Its like how windows """(((allows)))""" you disable telementry on windows 10. Its a placebo. Its meant to make you feel safe.

i couldn't give less shits. The network traffic clearly shows that only a few byte are being send their telemetry server which means that they aren't receiving any snippets from your code or anything since those would be bigger.
Woooh, they have usage statistics, as if I give a shit.
Asher Morris
>But we don’t need to do that and I don’t think it’s what you expect as a user – so we will stop sending anything i.e. even the opt out event Look for a change there soon. >Microsoft = crap
Tyler Phillips
This is the LAST TIME there is any shit stain of Microtrash touches my system
Hudson Edwards
>deepin my condolences
Wyatt Perry
This. Thank God that the word of a few dozen autists on Sup Forums means literally nothing to the world of software development.
Cooper Wilson
Epic, my dude!
Jacob Cook
Thanks for correcting the record, midf
Samuel Richardson
since when did anything on Sup Forums or even Sup Forums have to be taken seriously by the real world. The people on this site make up an extremely small portion of their respective communities. They are just very boisterous and close knit, like a hive mind, especially Sup Forums and Sup Forums
Jonathan Cook
For you:

Andrew Wilson
>boisterous and close knit >like a hive mind
One of those two descriptions is correct. Hint: it is the second one.
>no one has argued against it >instead calling out you retards for being knee-jerk fuckwits >doesn't matter, as I still know I'm better than you Later tater.
Joseph Richardson
>Why have Microsoft gotten so bad? Microsoft is, and always have been the tumor in the world of CS.
Point at microsoft apologists. lock them in a cage. spit on them and laugh.
Eli Wood
Are there MS shills on Sup Forums? About three months ago I was complaining on Sup Forums about how MS could still send data to their servers while using VSCode even if you explicitly disable it, because of their track record with windows.
I was attacked by at least 4 people about being a tinfoil paranoid schizo, not sure if Sup Forums users are retarded or if there's plenty of shills.
Benjamin Bailey
You're already using the deepin botnet, what are you complaining about?
Lucas Reed
Does Deepin DE have telemetry?
Cooper Jones
I'm not sure if it sends telemetry but it's made by chinks and they don't patch critical vulnerabilities, telemetry shit shouldn't be that far fetched if they're doing stuff like that.
Oliver Martinez
>telemetry shit shouldn't be that far fetched Why do you keep dodging the question? Does telemetry exist in DDE?
Connor Gutierrez
>Why have Microsoft gotten so bad? >gotten
>GOTTEN
someone doesn't remember bill gates
Ryan Mitchell
Telemetry is not the only thing that makes software a 'botnet', allowing vulnerabilities in your software is way worse. Even if deepin doesn't have telemetry that issue is bad enough to avoid the distro.
Let me guess, you're a deepin user?
Grayson James
>tfw use vs code daily for work >tfw want to care that i cant disable telemetry...but i dont think i do care brehs...........
Brandon Gutierrez
>allowing vulnerabilities in your software is way worse Sadly, there's no "prevent all vulnerabilities" flag on your compiler. What you can do is 1. Do not have any spyware daemon running in the background (aka telemetry) 2. Actually turn off your spyware daemon if people wants to opt out of instead of faking its deactivation.
The deepin DE has none of these issues.
Also, to answer your question, yes. I use the Deepin DE.
>Avoid the distro What has Manjaro got to do anything with this?
Luis Ramirez
I've been talking about the Deepin OS all this time, which has all these problems I mentioned before, upon further investigation the screenshot is showing pacman so it can't be a Debian based distro like deepin OS, and you did ask about Deepin DE specifically so I must be particularly retarded or tired today. I might try it on a VM and recommend it if it's good, the only thing that was keeping me from trying it was that DeepinOS is made by chinks.
