Fragile was just them preparing for Close to the Edge.
Also, Close to the Edge is the best thing to be produced by the entire rock umbrella. I'm amazed that an album that flawless actually came about. It was a point in which Yes's capabilities completely matched their ambition, and they were able to execute it to it's fullest. If any band has an objective best album, it's Yes.
