It's not too bad, it has much better driver support than OpenBSD, almost as good as Linux. Their ports system is much better than open's, too.

Why would you use it instead of, say, Linux, as a desktop OS? I thought BDS has been regulated mainly to server use these days.

As bad as it sounds, I actually enjoy using gnome. I never liked plasma 5 but if it works for you that's good

It's not my main OS, I just mess with it for fun. I wouldn't say it's any more or less of a server OS than Linux.

Nah, put it on my old Dell Inspiron, everything works except the wireless card. I also run it on a VPS.
