Threadripper 2

It's going to be a MASSIVE chip. How much will a heatsink for this baby cost and who is making fans for it? Noctua?

just put a bucket of water on it
play tf2 and cook lobster at the same time?
yes please

You could burn half of Tel-aviv on that bad boy in one cs match

I need a lot of cores to run simulations and virtual machines. Some of us have bills to pay, dont just sit in moms basement or attic doing nothing but shitpost. Some of us need good hardware to make moves in the industry. AMD know whats up. Intel is just overpriced shit at this point.

Why would it be massive? The socket isn't changing. They're only gonna shove more cores in when they move to 7nm, in which case they'll have enough space within the current package size.

I thought it was common knowledge that they were going to quadruple it in size.

thats a big CPU

Lol bad photoshop

n-no it's real

4 u

is that a photoshop

You

The pricing and size will be the same as the first generation threadripper.

If I underclock it can I simmer my bolognase for a few hours?

It's an Imagestore.

thats a LIE

I would like my pizza with 100 cores and solder toppings.

I'm so proud of you user, always chasing that next shekel and never stopping to have fun!

(Protip: The majority of people who play video games have jobs and lives).

Wouldn't cpus be better and cheaper if they are bigger? I don't why do they make it small if it's for a desktop, it's not meant to be portable or power efficent

>Wouldn't cpus be better and cheaper if they are bigger? I don't why do they make it small if it's for a desktop,

the case and heatsink manufacturers have a stranglehold

THYC

latency, costs
