Jokes on you. I didn't even finish High School.

Here's a literal code monkey

I hope you've invested in kneepads, because you're going to be begging us for promotions.

>He has regrets about not doing a computer science degree so he makes threads about it in order to cope

Nerds

The only thing that matters is that if your degree enables you to do what you love. Unless your work makes you happy, the money you make is irrelevant.

>Just graduated with honors from the Cyborg program

I'm making $70k/yr in my first job out of college while all of my friends are 50k max if they're even employed

woe is me

>he fell for the ebin "Pure mathematics degrees are useful" /sci/ meme

>Unless your work makes you happy, the money you make is irrelevant.
But what if the money I make makes me happy

income correlates with happiness, to a degree

things get mixed after you pass a peak of $75k/year according to a study I saw, probably more stress is induced

>got degree in economics
>tfw making 100k/yr starting salary

lol no you're not

>making 100k/yr starting salary
"no"

lol stay mad, feminist studies major

I think you're lying

"yes"

don't listen to him homie.

don't let the bastards get you down!

negotiate for your 100k/year starting salary.

that's what recruiters want to hear you do.

Post proof then

>30k less and a smaller penis than a Wendy's chef
why even bother m8

I have an accounting degree but I should have got a comp sci degree '_'

>penis
Pension?

Accounting is guaranteed here if you get your CPA. Pretty cushy but expect to work long hours.

Also work for a smaller regional audit firm rather than the big dogs.

...

Why didn't you just get a comp sci minor?

>this entire world is going to be dominated by software, even moreso than today
>you are twiddling your thumbs and not seeing the writing on the wall

software engineers will inherit the earth

Until software can write software. Then you're fucked.

A CS Degree is great if you don't just sit on your ass and actually network and meet people and make connecions like how 90% of Sup Forums probably did not do. Literally no degree except probably Nursing will allow you to just sit on your ass and have the jobs come to you. Nursing is actually really good right now and I don't know why more people don't do it.

...

my mommy is a nurse

>tfw thanks to her my undergrad is completely paid for plus there will be money available for a master's if i want one

every pleb on rebbit is going to be a software engineer or compsci. The media is screaming at everyone to go into STEM and get software engineering degrees and other computer-related studies. Kids in Chicago are already learning how to program in elementary schools.

Get out of that while you can and get into another sector or STEM discipline. With a lot of these programming jobs getting outsourced, and every other kid going for the same degree, you're going to be competing with tens of thousands, or more, for jobs that are already getting filled in.

Nursing is honestly a really fucking good deal if you want to use college to escape poverty. You won't become a super rich fuck but you will be living very comfortably and be very easily to get a job almost anywhere because its in such absurdly high growth and demand

>he fell for the uni meme
>he didn't just get a trade
>he calls himself a "man"

Not him but 2bh I'm thinking environmental engineering might be a good idea for the next like decade

This is of course assuming you don't just sit on your ass with the degree and actually network.

Do it man

Just don't fall for the meme I mentioned
