You'd be hard pressed to find someone here that actually speaks proper Spanish.

Any Spanish we have is from watching Doraemon and Narcos, and extrapolating from Portuguese, since Spanish is somewhat simpler.

We have much more contact with the English language in everyday life. Spanish just happens to be Portuguese-lite, so we make due.
