Thinkpad of phones, or just a meme?

Thinkpad of phones, or just a meme?

...

Best phone I ever had. Still have it to be precise. Excellent Hardware, best OS, regular Updates. Smooth and lasted forever. Too bad there were no Apps and the Android apps thing didnt work that well.

Confirmed meme

What phone is it?

Blackberry Passport.
Last best true Blackberry ever made.

Had this thing actually ran Android, I would have gotten one. Release a Passport 2 with Android P, then we will talk.

I'd buy a new Passport day 1 if it could run Sailfish.
Android needs to fucking die.

I like mine, dude. I'm still getting used to the keyboard, but it's a solid phone. If you want new android apps, you're screwed.
>had it actually ran Android
Outside of the ability to jailbreak, Android a shit. Having more Android app compatibility and support would be nice, though.

>3 row keyboard
Even though my classic took a massive dump on me upon arrival they at least got the keyboard right on that one.

Thanks, I am interested in getting a blackberry phone, is this one still good, and does it have a client (preferably riot.im but I dont really care) for matrix?

Yes

Does it runs whatsapp?
that is all i need

It used to, but it dropped support.

Definetly not the thinkpad of phones.

Keyone is waaaaay better

2 months since I got mine, android apps I need all work fine as long as they arent dependent on google services

only thing missing is emoji input lmao, ssl certs wonky is kinda clunky but overall it is very solid device

Instagram working? How are the emulators for gaming?

Is the camera shit?

browser can't into webm
no more native fb/whatsapp/linkedin
lite android versions are slow

android whatsapp does work tho

the os is gorgeous but futile nowadays. i'd have gotten the keyone if i wasn't poor

where the fuck is the shift keys? how do you do punctuation?

I had the Silver Edition and it was the best made phone I've ever had. BB made some great hardware. Too bad BB10 never caught on, it was a great OS and had devs supported it I'd still be using it.

Pic related is much better.

Thinkpad is just a meme.

Phoneposting from my passport se :^)

no it's not, that's actually pretty shit compared to the passport or the keyone

NO it's fucking not. Mine overheats like a motherfucker and battery life a shit. My classic could also run youtube videos with the screen off. Maybe the priv is good if you're only chapsnatting and instagramming and tindering, but for web browsing and real productivity, it's the worst out.

None of those things matter.

Nothing I laugh at harder than seeing the suits with their snazzy new iphone/samsungs that
>DO FUCKING EVERYTHING MANG!!1!
standing there shouting into their phones
>CAN'T HEAR YOU M8, THIS PHONE'S SHIT
...

Except in terms of build quality and quality control
I guess that's price of selling out to chinks

It still does but you need the android version

Both. Thinkpads are a meme.

Literally the most garbage answer in this thread

>Instagram working?
Yes and no
You have rely on igrann or whatever it's called which did lack a good deal of features the last time I used it
>How are the emulators for gaming?
There are retroarch ports for BB10 but you have to sideboard them
Controls are nice because muh keyboard
>Is the camera shit?
It's as okay as an okay camera from 2014

Only if
>it didn't come with the most garbage arm cpu ever
>had been updated to nougat or unlocked bootloader

>Meme of phones, or just a meme?
Wew

Go for the KEYone, it's a BlackBerry running Android and has a proper keyboard

Press and hold

I could buy a new one of those for 150€, but the lack of support for messaging apps made me steer towards the KeyOne. I'm super satisfied with my choice, KeyOne's battery is a beast. Physical keyboard is lovely, even though it's not as good as the physical keyboard on the Curve or on the Bold, both of which I used to own. I miss the physical trackpad too, even though the KeyOne's keyboard can work like a trackpad, a bit like the Passport's keyboard does. All in all, if I wanted to buy a BB10 device now, I'd probably go for the Classic.

I use a BlackBerry Classic and I love it for the keyboard and the Hub, but nothing else. The incompatibility issues feel like they're getting worse every day at this point.

Still have a bold 9900
