Why can't windows as simple as not wake me up in the middle of the night?

The question was why can't windows do things properly
All they had to do was keep Windows 7 and give it a facelift

I'll bet your "computer" is actually a laptop, in which case removing the battery will be the only true on/off switch it has.
If it nevertheless is a real box, just fucking unplug it.

>>All they had to do was keep Windows 7 and give it a facelift
The metro garbage was the facelift. The lowest-common-denominator consumer loves muh tablets. All the rest of the shit they changed (ads, telemetry, etc) was because they knew nobody would buy boxed copies of 10 when 7 was good enough (and hell, XP was and is good enough for lots of people) so they decided to forcibly monetize anyone who uses it.

Windows 10 wasn't a mistake. Everything shitty about it is exactly what Microsoft intended.

Windows can't wake up from a complete shutdown. You're so full of fucking shit, you're probably not even running UBENTO.

>XP was and is good enough for lots of people
Yeah, russians still using a 32 bit processor. Cunt.

>install ubuntu
>everything just werks
I laughed.

This happened to me just yesterday

>XboxOne controllers have this feature where they rumble when Windows starts up
>I rarely restart my computer
>Windows wanted to update and restart
>I allowed it and decided to pet and hold my cat while the computer did all that
>Windows reboots, gets to desktop, and my controller started rumbling
>My cat got spooked by the controller that started moving on its own and she started to panic and jumped out of my arms as frantically as she could
>Slashed my hand open, causing bleeding
>No way to disable controller rumble on startup

Thanks, Microsoft.

>t. faggot who puts off updates then complains when Windows wakes up to install updates.

There is a way to disable rumble. It's called a dot of superglue in the rumbler.

Don't try to sell it as a feature!
They ran one of the biggest beta-test phases mankind has ever seen. Microsoft got plenty of feedback on how everyone expected Windows 8 to be.
And in the end they threw all the opinions of millions of people into the trash and presented BillboardOS to the world.

Do you have gloryholes in all of your doors though?

>have two windows 10 machines
>never ever a single problem

so are you guys just retarded or something

My laptop does this too (running Win 10). A few minutes after putting it to Sleep (roughly 5-10 mins) it wakes up again for a few seconds and then goes back to sleep. What's causing this?

pretty sure that's a sliding door, user

Unplug it.

> Windows 10

>that digit ratio
user you didn't get sufficient testosterone in the womb.

Windows 10 with an UEFI system can, and does.

Only if you have hybrid boot enabled, like a dumbass.

>install gentoo
>fall asleep while it compiles
>wake up at 2am
>compilation done
>shut down
>go to bed

>finalize install the next
>it just werks
install gentoo.

Indoors? Made out of wood? Don't think so.
