i still die every time i have to fucking search my inbox for an email. For example: Search for: Sup Forums in subject. What it actually does is it SORTS the subject list and shows you the first time the character 4 shows up.

Fuck you IBM.. FUCK YOU
also fuck your connections bullshit

I did some research how notes could be such a pile of shit and guess what? Lotus Notes at its core is a database system on which you can build apps. So they build an email client ontop of it in the '90s and been shipping it ever since.

Drop IT and go for Data Scientist
If you want to do dev work its not about the language its about being able to apply tools such as: Kibana, R Python, blockchains and other hyped stuff. This faglord is suggestion the oldschool bullshit which is useless because indians can do it and programming is going to become more and more automated.

Also build a portfolio, i stopped caring what people say on their resume. You better show me some amazing shit or you are not getting an interview

Machine learning and big data technologies are on the rise, or so I hear

>programming is going to become more and more automated
There is no such thing as a creative computer.

true, but there are things like libraries which are basically automated programming.

creativity is just randomness

Programming combined with traditional IT specializations like systems or networking, but programming is needed the most and obviously not something you pickup by going to class for a week.

Where I work we now give systems engineers the same programming tests we give to traditional developers. We cannot hire anyone without programming skills.

No problem buddy, hopefully that helps you out

These are the actual facts. Also Kotlin was the fastest growing language.

Java, Python and street shitting

I'm assuming you mean entry level IT help desk or tech, paying 30-40k ish

When they tell you in the interview "tell me about yourself" they're looking for confidence, self-awareness and sanity in a personable package. That's it. If you can be a normal relate-able human being for ten seconds and you have your A+ (or whatever cert) you land the job

If you know "ipconfig /all" you can get an entry level IT job easily.

If you're aiming a bit higher, SQL, VMware, Windows Server (knowing most of the roles and features), Veeam or Symantec Backup Exec are pretty much required to know.

If the role requires first line support, being able to talk to another human being is required. You might know everything about troubleshooting problems in Windows, but if the interviewer sees you're a full blown autist, he'll higher Chad with barely any computer skills instead.

Lol. About half my job is fixing shit that Lotus Notes causes, directly or indirectly. Company spend shit loads on some dev to make Lotus intergrate with our CRM.

Being proficient in anything that requires you to be physically on site. Seriously, if it's too complex or impossible to be outsourced, learn it. Doesn't matter how hard or easy it is. You'll have an easier time getting hired and sticking around that way.
