If you are going to be focused on CS rather than branch out into a minor or double major (I did International Relations), you need to be self-motivated enough to learn outside of the classroom and attempt mastery on your own.

Because I wanted to get into national security work. It was a conscious decision.
What I'm trying to tell OP if he wants to focus on Computer Science, he needs to work, learn, and practice a lot outside of the classroom.

Do NOT fall for vaginal tricks. You are not gonna fuck her, she's just using you for help with her grades
Make her suck your dick then give her the project

Don't try to make CS friends until Second semester sophomore year. Most of your freshman buddies will flunk out.
Also, if you are even remotely having a hard times go to your professors office ours and bring your laptop so you can work on it together then and there.
Yes, fuck group work and don't ever believe peoples lies about working hard unless they have the grades to back it up.
>tfw people I'm working with for my group project are fucking retarded
>tfw had to do all the documentation, all the project management, all the technical work everything remotely challenging
>any time I left work to other members they would give me shit in return, the sort of shit I would expect a child to hand in
>tfw every week different excuses about why couldn't do x or y
>tfw I look at it and can do x or y within an hour
Fuck I hate group work, can't wait to go back to work where I'm not surrounded by retards.
no u
dont do CS degree. I have a BS in CS and unemployed. cant get an interview. getting an MS in CS now but i doubt anything will change
instead, create an LLC and start contracting for minimum wage or free. open source projects. learn on your own or get an AS in CS max.
employers care much more about work experience than CS
so many have BS in CS or equivalent work experience as a requirement if they even list BS CS as a requirement, which many dont anymore
