Just finished reading this, can confirm

Please don't judge it by it's cover.

I'm sure alot of you would actually like this book if you gave it a chance.

Meh, this book is just a ripoff of tons of other stories. Not worth your time.

If you read the book you understand why people acted the way they did for the last 2000 years in europe, you dont have to believe anything, its about putting history into context

Meh, most people didn't act that way. That's like saying all apple users are homosexual. Most Apple users just pick it out because that's the name they heard of, and use it when bored.

Mate, it's just rehashed soviet-style communist cybernetics planning from the 50's(which is analyzed and shown why it failed in pic related).
It has the same economic problems most command economies have(economic calculation problem, lack of failsafes, etc.)

And Fresco had some disturbing semi-authoritarian tendencies if you look deeper into his work, like his attempts at removing words like "love" from the vocabulary, thinking people believing in the notion of free-will is an impediment to attempts to mentally restructure mankind along the lines drawn by social engineers, and has absolute adoration of stuff like Skinner's rat experiments(the same shit gamblers and MMO's use to get you addicted and disheveled).

Yes, automation and AI is a problem, but shit like RBE is definetly not the solution.

I actually read all the books in this series. It's 98% shit and 2% telling you how Bella was dying. I liked that part. It was really well written and descriptive. I even jerked off to it.

I would recommend all of these. I've read some of the other books one here but can't recommend as highly as these.

A few books off the top of my mind
Meditations - Marcus Aurelius
Brothers Karamazov - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

memes aside, the Bible is a good read even for non-theists. You really NEED to read it using a study guide though...don't just go in raw. This will help you understand the historical contexts, symbolism, alternative interpretations, information about the authors, etc.

Pic related is what I used. It's a comfy read, and some of the stories get pretty wild

Attached: bible.jpg (461x648, 48K)

Also recommend "The Art of War", attributed to Sun Tzu (probably not the real author, and was probably not created by just one lone author either); and in the same vein "Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius

Attached: meditations.jpg (500x375, 31K)

>"Meditations" by Marcus Aurelius
Gee, if only people read the fucking thing, so they wouldnt post that fake quote.
Seriously, how did people end up associating that stupid thing with stoicism and Aurelius of all things, when it's incompatible on multiple levels with the philosophy, and it almost perfectly fits their philosophical opponents, the epicurians, and ended up posted by fedoras of all people, whom Marcus calls a bunch of retards 2 thirds of the way through the book?

Tbqfh anyone reading books in the information age is retarded. Books are chock full of pointless narrative and filler. Of you want to learn something now you find a searchable electronic document and dissect the useful information and apply it or commit the important bits to memory through memetics.

There IS such a thing as reading for leisure...Hell, you're probably doing it right now by browsing this forum

This book is fucking trash. I'm sick of seeing people recommend it as some treasured "deep" book.

Do you know why that book is so popular? It aired on The Sopranos. Sales increased dramatically. Yes, I was one of the tards that bought it. It's absolute common sense, and I would never recommend this book to anyone.

>If your enemy is stronger than you and has a bigger army, don't attack!
Fuck off with this book meme.

It's the same with all these 'deep' asian books in my experience. Same with 5 rings for example. Then again it's also the same with basically every 'how to be a leader' type books, asian or not.

It's been famous in the general for far longer than that gay sopranos shit.

Meanwhile, in Europe.

The only good study guide for the bible is the talmud.

he posted the bible not koran or talmud.

I've never seen The Sopranos and I've had a copy since I was like 9.

Part 1/2.

Programming is difficult, most of the time. Becoming a Master is even more difficult. Not only in programming, but in anything you want to do in life, Mastery is difficult. This book is a gem, that will walk you through incredible stories of brilliant people, and their rise to Mastery. Even programmer, an Y Combinator founder, Paul Graham.

Must read for any programmer.

Attached: mastery.jpg (351x500, 25K)

>must read for any impressionable underageb& who's ready to crash and burn once the real world happens
FTFY

2/2.

Learning to program is difficult. Likewise, becoming good at programming is difficult. Getting a job in programming is even more difficult, especially if you don't have a formal education. Your journey into this field will be met with many obstacles. Persist with your learning, and resist the urge to quite, persist and resist. This book will teach you how to deal with obstacles you will inevitably face.

I think these two books are great for Sup Forumsents.

>becoming good at programming is difficult. Getting a job in programming is even more difficult
Programming is a profession where there's such a difference in skill level, because it's easier to get employed doing it.

...

Are you a fucking retard?

Eh, maybe. I found it much more difficult to get employed, but that's because of my circumstances(small town, didn't have a vehicle, no degree). That's basically who I was speaking to, people in similar positions.

A Pajeet street shitter can get a Programming job.
We are more qualified than them.
