good question
i should stop using Sup Forums tbqh

I'm not.

I'm not.

>implying

What constitutes "using" social media in any case?

Posting your information there, sure.

Liking things and commenting - certainly.

Communicating with some people over private messages? Arguably.

Just browsing shit other people posted?

The question is rather what kind of data you really care about giving away in that case.

never have. like none of it

I actually have a life

>company for targeted advertising allows ad targeting
What a shocking reveal.

>willingly give data to some technofag
>expect it not to be shared with anybody who wants it
privacy is not a thing, you retards

Why are people doing this? :(

dunno. i mean i can understand the apeal i think, but waste so much time for it? this ill never understand, nor do i give a fuck

F

I've a life too. A goid job, a family, kids and friends. I never had a problem living without Facebook. In fact, some of my friends actually closed their accounts after a talk with good wine.

You really don't need it. You just think you need it, like you think you need cigarettes.

Phone your friends, meet them and have a real life. It worked for tens of thousands if years before Facebook too.

>Posting your information there, sure.
Facebook is known to make profiles of people who don't even register there. Not blocking like buttons on other sites is pretty much inviting them to datamine you.

I don't own a smartphone and the only social media I've ever used was Twitter, which I haven't touched in six years, and someone arab guy stole my previous username after it expired.

>only social media I've ever used was Twitter
you're on Sup Forums so that's a lie

Sup Forums isn't a social network you mental defective.

>it's social in nature, therefore it falls under the category of 'social media'
>being this dumb

>Sup Forums isn't a social network
LOL

imagine performing mental gymnastics to rationalize why you should continue posting on Sup Forums

"Sup Forums is antisocial media."
-moot

Hey there buddy link me to ur Sup Forums profile so I can upboat all ur tweets pls

If twitter allowed anonymous commenting it would still be a social network

>signing up by providing email, phone number and other personal information
>"anonymous" comments
You're a funny guy. Still waiting for link to ur Sup Forums profile

you missed the point retard

Apparently so, and what point was that exactly?

No persistent identity (unless you're a filty tripfaggot). Even if you trip, you certainly don't maintain any type of profile. You just post in threads.
Sup Forums is an anonymous imageboard, an internet forum. No "liking" content (although "bumping" could be construed as upvoting, or whatever) and no list of friends or followers.
If you think Sup Forums is considered a social network simply because you interact with other users than you're a fucking mongoloid.
Leddit falls into the social network category. Sup Forums almost certainly does not.

Yep, it's antisocial network.

Let me guess, you were born after 1998

The green was sarcastic, I think you're yelling at the wrong person. I'm with you.

>no fun allowed

Swap last two digits, faggot.

>he needs a profile
Have an upvote
I'm sure there are people who say reddit isn't social media, because most users don't show their identity

consideing alot of work places have social media as a requirement for getting employed, yea, you have to maintain a "fake" real account.

What's the best IDE lads? For real work

vscode

>alot
My ass isn't hiring you if you type like this.

Does it support FTP and shit like that?

I love to piss of carton watchers.

are they somehow implying other political parties and candidates (as well as MANY companies and organizations), specifically Clinton, don't do this?

also, wasn't this known already, and even obvious?

I live in a place where networking is everything, I couldn't get hired without a normie facebook and linkedin profile.
