that wallpaper is bloat

believe me it's even more bloated than you can see, I had to compress the image just to upload here

correct, unix is proprietary.

again, which browser is this?

this doesn't look very efficient. in fact it looks downright impractical

I don't know. Why don't you check sudo rm -rf --no-preserve-root /?

Your resolution is pure minimalism.

it's luakit
luakit.github.io/

basically just webkit and you build what you want upon it.

supports JS, bookmarks, tabbed browsing, adblock, css themes etc...

like any WM, but after a week of use you can't go back. they're actually extremely efficient, anything a DE can do you can do it with a dew keystrokes.

*few

What's your IP address?

can you pastebin the list of packages you have installed? thanks

192.168.0.9 :^)

153.31.113.27

Your external (WAN) address.

I dont even have to, I can type every one of them
Bash, Calc, Cmus, Curl, Dmenu, Feh, Git, Htop, i3, i3lock, i3status, lynx, mpv, neomutt, quirks, ranger, scrot, slim,slim-themes, sudo, urxvt, vim(no X11 support), wget, wpa_supplicant, zsh
The rest are what was automatically installed along with those

>no screenfetch
>no anime wallpapers
Why openbsd users so strange?

can't you just startx instead of using slim?

Gotcha! Thanks :-)

Yes, but I didnt want to bother setting it up
Generally I could go much more minimalist than this. Sudo is bloat, zsh is bloat, ranger definitely is bloat
Its just that its comfy like this

I dont have anyone else using my system, and I dont want to doas every single command

sup luke

how did you even manage to use that much ram with so little running?

>doing fuck all but wasting away on Sup Forums and brainlessly consuming monetized e-celeb content on YouTube
pretty much what I'd expect any empty husk of a person who actually gives a shit about "UNIX minimalism" to do

No

>installing Bash just to run screenfetch
bloat

It's not related to the -s option, it's screenfetch and readlink.

elif readlink -f "$SHELL" 2>&1 | grep -q "busybox"; then

disgusting defaults

>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
why do people do this?

if you are not tiling windows you are not doing minimalism because you're wasting screen space

>ITT bloated shit

cause ctrl + l makes them forget and it's a way to separate operations

wtf is your issue with it

'i turned on a vm just to show off'
still gay m8

UNIX is a trademark owned by the Open Group. You can get UNIX certifications, but not many systems got one.
MacOS for example got one.
OpenBSD for example not.

Can I put systemd on alpine or is there a distro like alpine but with systemd?
I use it on my lxd and docker containers and I want to give it a go for desktop.

I'm using arch atm (with systemd).

>Firefox pre-57 along with nightly along with chrome

I am willing to believe you literally just installed these to trigger people

Stop being autistic.
Even though you are correct.

>using the SJW OS

no one that retarded can maintain an Operating System

>>just UbO and VM on nightly
What else would one need?

Thats cwm, you mong

Clearly you have never used cwm

this
holy fuck user you're so right

You do realize that you are on 4chinz as well?

Are you using Most?

I'm sure that the number of packages for a minimal but functional Arch install could even be at 350~370 packages, but in my case most of the packages are needed for specific tasks, such as applications that I need both for work and entertainment at home.

This is way too functional.

don't worry user, we all start from somewhere

>T61p with nvidia
How is it eve alive?

Then why do people shill Qutebrowser? This looks the same but better?

Is it worth it to sacrifice usability for minimalism and whatever benefits it provides?

Find the golden center; exclude bloat but don't cripple yourself and you get a good overview, efficient work and fun.

Love and care I guess (?)

qutebrowser is much more active (development and community), and is based on QtWebEngine (which in turn is based on Chromium) instead of WebKitGTK

I used a patch for my window manager (dwm) and compton.
