If the boards weren't so expensive I would buy a TR1950X. Its so damn cheap! Considering Intels prices. But I don't really have any use for it, so I bought a Ryzen 1700, which is more than suitable for home H265 encoding.
Two eightcore PCs are still cheaper than TR with board. And probably more efficient, one energy saving 24/7 renderer, one highly OCd gaming / editing rig.

Nah. I'm in GLORIOUS Mother Russia, which bases it's prices mostly off of European import (thus counts from Euro, not $), and our prices never were above ~25$ (VAT expenses and importing fees) equivalent over MSRP, most often than not even cheaper due to relevance/popularity factors.

When I google 1950X Passmark, I do get a 22k score for it and the 7900X.
It looks like Passmark changed their scoring to rig it for Intel. Everyone knows a 7900X isn't remotely near the performance of the 1950X in anything except some fucking games.
