how do you go on about deleting Facebook? How do you minimize the information they have got about you? What about the ones you want to keep in contact with?

Send Facebook a request to delete your information in accordance with EU-Laws

Unironically this. Wait until the 25th of May when the EU General Data Protection Regulation comes into force and they can't say no to you if they don't want to be fined 4% of their annual global revenue (emphasis on revenue, i.e. not profit).

Man it feels good living in the free world.

>regulation
>free world
Hahahahaha. Poor people always have such a skewed perception of freedom.

>I want the freedom to be controlled and dominated by transnational entities.
Being a cuck isn't freedom.

>making a virtue of being assraped by megacorporations daily

Americuck detected.

Free market capitalism requires regulatory intervention to prevent monopolies forming. If you hate that regulation, then you hate free markets and I'll be damned if I'm to sit here and be lectured to by a commie.

This is a poor person's worldview. A person's true class reveals itself over time. A poor boy can become rich with the right mindset, but poor people who spend their lives resenting and villainizing "duh wun puhcent" die poor, and their children do as well if they listen to their retarded parents.

Yep, tell me all about your freedom when your governments make it too expensive to afford automobiles. Next you'll start making excuses and saying that dirty public transportation is "superior." Whatever.

>I'll be damned if I'm to sit here and be lectured to
hahahaha what the fuck is this? You're not a hollywood actor or something, stop being so dramatic. There is no lecture, you are not a captive audience, and whining about posts you don't like doesn't change anything.

That post is cringy af bub.

>Thinking Zuckerberg gives two shits about your Imagination Land laws.

Yours was worse, faggot. Don't larp next time.

>eurocuck
>saying ANYTHING about "free markets"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>he doesn't know what negative externalities are
>he doesn't know what car-dependency is
>he thinks needing a car for employment, shopping and socialising is freedom
>he thinks being forced to buy a car is freedom

Keep drinking that Kool-Aid, you compliant commie. Detroit is grateful for people like you.

You are one triggered commie, commie. Maybe you shouldn't take posts on a Japanese cartoon board so seriously.

>he thinks monopolies = free markets

Good goy. Now prepare your anus for this corporation dick.

Look it up, there's a video from the german ccc I think. Some guy tried to force them but couldn't

It's 1st may isnt it?

He cares about money though

You could always make your public transport cleane, you know

They've been played to ensure that companies are free to abuse them, in the name of freedom

>I let megacorps fuck my ass all day every day because I unironically believe muh mindset will one day make me a CEO of one and I'll be the one doing the fucking
>t. temporarily embarrassed millionaire
This common delusion Burgers refuse to confront with reality has always fascinated me deeply.

>he has a goodgoybook
look at this idiot

>>laws of Ireland don't give a shit about your privacy

The GDPR is an EU regulation (as opposed to an EU directive), which means its directly effective in all 28 EU Member States without any need for implementing legislation at national level. From the 25th of May, it's the law for 500 million EU citizens.

The laws of Ireland don't matter in this case.

>>waste millions of dollars while they wait until you're absolutely bankrupt and forced to drop charges

lolno

>appeal to Irish High Court
>Irish High Court refers question to Court of Justice of the European Union under Article 267 TFEU
>CJEU rules that Irish data protection authority must act
>Irish DPA forced to give a shit

i.e. what Max Schrems did. The national data protection authorities take the cases against the big corporations on the basis of complaints from individuals. Those individuals don't bear the expense.

Europe isn't cucked by big corporations like America is.

Nah, 25th. Wish it was sooner 2bh, they've had two years to get their shit together and they've squandered it.

Even if you don't have an account they still track you based on what others say about you.
It's the same thing with government databases - they need all sorts of stuff from roommates or family members they wouldn't get otherwise.
Sup Forumsentiles, are you fucking nuts? They won't delete it.
You're fucking stupid if you think otherwise.
Europe has a whole is moving towards being the USA with the push towards a central government. Facebook doesn't give a fuck. Neither does Apple, Google or whatever else. Actually user, you're now aware that Ireland is in favour of removing privacy - SOPA and that gombeen Sherlock, for example, and has been for a long, long fucking time. Ireland literally gives no fucks about the EU and it's a major issue.

EU is a huge fucking market and is known to give out fines to companies disregarding EU laws. Companies would be risking a lot for little gain.

And? Apple is still laughing at the whole "lolz give us the tax".
Ireland literally is a fucking con country for tech. EU can't regulate it here.

you never use it in the first place

if you are a dumb enough faggot to have created a facebook profile in the first place, you deserve the future buttrape that's coming your way

read about GDPR here eugdpr.org/gdpr-faqs.html

I work for an online gambling company here in the EU and we've been working overtime to make sure we're GDPR-compliant. There's cases of big companies being fined millions already, not for GDPR but for similar, anti-money-laundering regulations:

britbong here, and you guys seem to know your shit, so do you have any insight on how Brexit will impact me as a privacy-conscious consumer? Supposedly the government will be imposig similar privacy laws while eu negotiations are underrway, so if I'm understanding that correctly we'll basically have our own de facto GDPR at first(?), then will probably move towards anti-privacy totalitarian tyrant bullshit after a couple years. Does that sound about right? Do I need to bin my smartphone and run away to live in the woods off of berries and twigs???

There are some scripts that would automatically delete every post you made.

Remember that if you don't delete your content before delete the account they have the right to keep that data.

Log in > settings > delete account.

So difficult.

You can set all your past content to private there as well.

this desu. It's much harder to start a business in europe for example because of regulations, so europoors all settle for a life of mediocrity and wage slavery.

>If I let them ass fuck me with no resistance, one day I'll move up in the prison rape hierarchy and I'll get to fuck some ass
That's not how it works, user. There are fuckers, and there are the ones getting fucked. You're right, it's all about mindset, and "maybe my corporate overlords will reward me if I'm docile" isn't the right mindset.

There's no ass fucking if you don't buy their products or work for them lol what the fuck is this, some cringe antifa thing you're trying to recruit me into? When you buy something from a corporation, you do it because you expect to benefit. Voluntary trade. So that computer you're using right now was manufactured by a corporation. Did you get "ass fucked" because you bought it? Assuming the retailer you bought it from didn't gouge you, no, you paid a fair price and now enjoy using your product. You DO enjoy it, right? Or else why would you buy it and use it?

>Assuming the retailer you bought it from didn't gouge you
The whole point of regulation is to stop evil-doers. Yes, if we made the wild assumption that corporations can always be trusted, we wouldn’t need regulation. Corporation can’t always be trusted. No, your local takeaway isn’t struggling to stay afloat because of regulation. The one’s that aren’t trying to fuck you over aren’t affected by regulations. The same way that I don’t care if the maximum penalty on burglary is increased, Exon Mobil shouldn’t care if the maximum penalty on unsafe disposal of toxic waste is increased. That is, unless Exon is trying to poison somebody’s drinking water to save cash. Everyone's against regulation because "it hurts business", but nobody wants to be subjected to those business practices that they so desperately want to be legal. You don’t want McDonalds to have food safety standards, but you don’t want to eat unsafe food. I don’t understand your point. Please explain.

I recently recovered a Facebook account I made in 2005 and didn't use since so I could delete it.
Deleting your Facebook account is a lot harder than it should be.

1. They don't have the "Delete My Account" link anywhere that's easily accessible.
You have to dig through their help articles to find it. What's worse, is they have several different articles on deleting your account and only 1 of them has a link.

2. They have a CAPTCHA on the "Delete My Account" page. The problem is, the CAPTCHA is broken and won't load the image.
Initially, I thought AdBlock or Privacy Badger could be blocking it, so I tried again in Internet Explorer. Same thing.
I Googled it and found articles dating back years saying the same thing. I imagine this was intentional.

To get around the broken CAPTCHA, you have to use the audio CAPTCHA.
Problem is, it was obviously outsourced to India so you get an incredibly thick Indian accent, mispronounced words, and a shitty microphone with so much static that it's nearly impossible to hear what the person is actually saying.

I had to put on my headphones, turn the volume way up, and go through probably 50 audio CAPTCHAs before I got one correct.

All in all, it took me about an hour to delete the account.

>yurocucks

Just deleted you app on your phone and don't visit the website on your PC. Just that simple. Otherwise kys

this GDPR thing is big shit, my boss has even managed to start a side company off it, consulting for SMBs so they dont get bankrupted. I would go live in the woods regardless.
