OP you are so sly. You perfectly know there is no excuse. By the way Leap > tumbleshit.
can maybe fixed by maybe installing libfreetype6 (v. 2.9) from maybe the m17n maybe try it and see if it fixes it
t. i tried and it did ok thank you.
Because I use ubuntu :^)
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.
There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.
I'm not really bothered by small icons in my file picker.
ABP and uBlock.
m17n?
Solus raped my boi bussy first!
Binary Arm64 .img for tumbleweed when?
There's a binary image for leap but that's no fun!
Heys, I'm new to Suse, and im trying to install and fix a program trough the console, was going to go "sudo apt-get install build-essentials"
But then the terminal said Apt-get:command not found, and then ive started to wonder, why does my Suse OS not have apt-get command installed by default?
thats question number one, and number two is, how do i get it?
Thanks

anyway, try zypper.
Has anyone tried GeckoLinux?
Seems to be openSUSE with sane defaults and better out of the box usability
geckolinux.github.io
I'm curious, maybe I'll try it, but I wanted to ask for opinions first
How does it compare to manjaro (KDE)?
>be geckolinux
>take hobbyist OS and make it a hobby
>be you
>take interest in a hobbyist's hobby and hope to make it your own hobby
Frankly if you have time for using amateur software you'll probably like using something like this, but us adults prefer to keep work and hobbies separate.
>apt-get
>2018
And if it's the same with just other stuff pre-installed like codecs and stuff that I have to install anyway but what takes time because I have to look on the forums for the package names first?
And if I don't use Gecko but the normal openSUSE, should I take Leap or Tumbleshit?
From my expirience some things were fucked by default ( like touchpad settings of my x240 ) on tumbleshit while Leap works as it fucking supposed to.
Haven't tried it. Last time I wen hooping ( ubuntu KDE, fedora KDE, tumbleweed ) I run quickly back to Leap. Stable as fuck with grate KDE integration.
yast
I've used it pretty extensively in a VM. Pretty bitching spin if I do say so myself. I still prefer a mix of kubuntu for my desktop and debian for my servers. If I wanted to go RPM I'd do GeckoLinux for my desktop (fuck fedora)
> I can afford to swim in pajeet's poo.
Lock your widgets boi
Yast is a nightmare - it's attempt to make things simpler just makes actual administration using config files harder. It's a Windows Control Panel wannabe.
SuSEFirewall2... retarded. Who designed this shit? I either disable it and use iptables directly or put all my iptables rules in the custom config to bypass it.
Patterns. I'm not hugely averse to bloat, but the patterns are dumb as fuck. Yes, you can disable them (thank god).
Repositories. Empty. Slackware has more packages for crying out loud.
OBS. Good idea to supplement the small official repos, but there is no reasonable CLI interface to peoples' custom repositories. If I wanted to use a browser to download software I'd use god damn Windows.

>What’s your excuse for not using the only decent Linux distro?
Leap didn't have the new features I wanted and over the 6 months I tried Tumbleweed it constantly kept breaking itself with updates
>Paying for Microshit Windows license.
That's even worse desu.
>I can afford to pay microsoft for them to show me relevant ads
kek
Because amd drivers doesn't work for me or crash constantly. I tried tumbleweed, not sure if LEAP works better, if it would, I would use it
I had some very limited experience on a ubuntu vps that I used to have, but I never used gnu/linux as my main, daily driver. I bought an used vostro with a decent config and after installing lgbt on it, I found out that it had a 30gb ssd on it. so, since I had the free time, I decided to install some random distros, but ended up only installing 2 because I fell in love with opensuse(the first was debian, firefox was 7 versions behind). I am now using it for pretty much everything on this laptop, and I'm about to install grub on windows' boot manager place. also I'm addicted to kmines.

But I am user, Gentoo is the best. Everyone knows that.
I used Leap and Tumbleweed at different times.
It took way longer to boot than KDE Neon and offered nothing that I found useful.
You mean because you'd rather pay to have your balls owned by someone else.
lack of packets and users base. if you do advanced stuff you end up with weird corner cases and dont get your shit done. i used suse but for developers i find fedora much better.
