Been using the G903 for a few months and has easily been one of the best mice I have ever used.

Attached: Mouse.jpg (480x640, 34K)

good call. Also I'd like to apologize for the software, it's literally made by a bunch of college kids.

You're god damn right it is, almost as bad as corsair's. I have a g502

Needs more DPI otherwise I'd still be using mine.

Attached: explorer.jpg (440x355, 16K)

Yeah I don't blame you, I use 400-800 DPI when playing vidya so it suits me.

Thank you, the software isn't the worst. Especially since I can use the mouse for 3 days then only need to charge it for like an hour.

What i mean is the pros out way the cons by far in short.

I see the g300 a lot in "best mice" articles.

>Im detecting a trend here

Attached: pN1pqRqQ.jpg (512x512, 18K)

Wait, actually? I've got a G300S and I've been seriously thinking about replacing it. I came from an MX510 followed by a G500, both of which broke horribly after many years of use (the MX510 lasted like a decade though), and the G300S is easily my least favourite of the three.

Was actually thinking of using the cable and some of the scroll wheel parts from the 300S to repair the 500, cos that thing was a goddamn beast despite having the shittest cable of all time.

Yeah no I'm serious I always hear about the G5, MX510, and G300 in threads about favorite mice

Don't worry, they don't pay their marketing team enough to shill here.

>regardless of better versions being [released]
I fucking wish, fucking Logitech
>refuses to make another model claiming it didn't sell well, yet is a cult classic, competitors have similar models, and their own lineup lacks any variety whatsoever
>mouse continues to work fine anyways
It's like a they don't want money.

MX 518 /thread

G5 thread? Mine's laser went out maybe 6-7 years ago, opened a ticket with logitech begging for a fix no matter the price. Gave me a sad no and 50% off anything in the store code, ended up getting the G9x, about equal in my opinion but damn I miss that mouse.

I don't use the force feedback, but I do love the weight of it. Plus the clicks and scroll are perfect.

Attached: img_20160418_020816.jpg (2448x2448, 1.05M)

I can understand the MX510, cos they last forever, and the G5, cos it's basically just a laser version of the MX518, but the G300 just feels like a $20 plastic china mouse with extra buttons, for lady hands.

Gah, fuck it, I'm fixing my G500s

using it right now

Good to hear; snagged one off eBay for $15.00 before S&H

it's like mouse porn

Attached: IMG_20180320_225019.jpg (480x270, 86K)

yeah, interracial porn

cos I'm only interested in half of those involved

Mx518... 10 years and still working like the first day :')

I loved that mouse. It fit perfectly into my hand. Eventually the cable detached from inside the mouse though. I wish they would have never given up that shape.

Is this the reason I see so few g5/mx518’s for “parts” on eBay

they don't seem to pay enough to their software developers either
>2014
>bought g100s - got a perfectly serviceable mouse, albeit not too ergonomic
>2018
>decided to try g pro
>"hurr durr we'll just cut this feature of separate axis DPI setup and give middle finger for ANYBODY asking"
Support guy said that they can't reach out software developers to escalate the issue and bring back the feature. That's right - a company called after something logical doesn't have a solid contact line between support team and software development dpt.
Seriously, fuck Logitech for acting like degenerates - will never buy anything from them.

you seem like a cool guy from nipponu who undoubtedly saw that Akira Kurosawa's movie about shoe factory owners arguing about reducing the quality of their shoes in order to sell shoes every 6 months instead of 6 years and establish regular stream of revenue
So, the only thing they want the most is the Money and that's the reason why they've stopped selling either this mouse or mx518 - they were just too good for the market (in that regard, they didn't lie that it didn't sell well... of course it fucking didn't - hardly any unit has died after two years of use!)

Just bought MX Master 2S. How fucked am I?

Nah, make marginal model upgrades like upgrading it to an optical sensor, optional wireless, (or unfortunately) add moar LEDs and change to the edgy G branding. I'd happily buy a new one even if my old one still worked (in fact I have an original G9 too) if they'd bother supporting their customers with these features. Instead I got the finger from the reps I talked to, so now I replace cosmetic parts on mine infinitum for lack of a better option.

If they instead made products with a planned obsolescence as you imply, like fucking Mad Catz is notorious for, customers will obviously drop their ass even faster. This happens with Razer and others too, which is where Logitech could be poaching scorned customers if they didn't more recently stoop to the same terrible business model.

they get "obsolete" not fast enough for customers to notice (we are talking 2-3 years before the double click sets in, instead of 5-6 years it was before), but make no mistake - they are aiming at repeating their customers (and any other biggest company in the market, like Intel who have achieved amazing IPC results, but replaced soldering with a fucking thermal solution that will unavoidably dry out in a few years, so that dumb-dumbs and lazy will buy a new CPU later, instead of having their core2duo for over a decade w/o overheating and/or replacing thermal paste)

or how Western Digital who have been producing consistently reliable HDDs have enabled BY DEFAULT that fucking head parking solution just after 8 seconds of idling.
Their official excuse was "to save on users' electricity bills", but the matter of fact is - the heads can land nearly 600k parking counts in less than 2 years and wear off the hard drive faster than ever before.

anyone buy replacement feet off aliexpress?

Attached: 20170428_112701.jpg (2064x1161, 784K)

I ruined pic rel.
I replaced the cable because it was worn down to the wires and had loose contacts.
now the leds dont't work anymore because I lost a part of the connector but worst of all I didn't realize I used a keyboard cable as an replacement so it's much too stiff now x.x

I have an excellent condition G400 with a dodgy scroll wheel, should I replace it with chink parts for ~$5 then sell on the mouse?

Deathadder Chroma

I said I was never going to buy a Razer product but after the mouse button click on my other mouse broke. I didn't feel like waiting around for shipping so I bought this and super happy with it.

Attached: .jpg (700x450, 43K)

I've had a few high quality used mice for sale on the net. nobody bids at them. don't spend money on mice on the expectation you'll get a return.

The side buttons are atrocious and poorly placed. The weight tray jams. The DPI buttons fail.

weird i own a g300s and i think i would do better buying a g203 instead since the sensor suck. The extra buttons are nice though

I used a Logitech office mouse for ages until the sensor started fucking up and randomly jumping into the corners. Then I got a mouse with a good sensor and never looked back.

logishills are at an all time high.

Attached: DWIIwPmV4AAno3I.jpg:large.jpg (1536x2048, 475K)

I've bought a couple sets of feet, they're fine aside from using some kind of LiDL adhesive that leaves nasty glue residue when peeling them off again, but nothing that a bit of oil and a rag can't fix.

I use the wired version at work. trackballs forever.

I hear ya

Attached: huge_019.jpg (1024x683, 73K)

Been using a SteelSeries Rival 500 for about 6months now. It's easily the comfiest mouse I've ever owned and all the extra buttons are great for one handed browsing.

OP, I have them all.

The one you have is my favorite of them, and definitely the best looking mouse I've seen.

I tried the g500s after the right click broke on the g5, and I do have to say it is better. The scroll is far better, and the sensor also seems upgraded. DPI and forw/back buttons feels cheaper than the g5 tho, but they still haven't shown any signs of wear after 4 years or so..

Give it a try if you want the same feel as the g5 on a new mouse. If you can even get ahold of them now that is, I think it's already replaced by those flashing rgb shits.

Attached: IMG_7830.jpg (2136x1424, 1.6M)

I used to have a G5. Loved that thing. How does the G500 compare? I could get one for 40€. Worth it?

is there an updated list of best mice?

Just use this

I've loved all the mice I've personally owned.

Come on dude

Never had that problem ever in my life

Lmao ing so hard right now

Do mice even have coils? and never had this problem with zowie or zowie+benq mice

I have never tested the old g500, but I remember seeing lots about them breaking after a short while. I whould try for the g500s instead.

G900 reporting in, its a godsend

This mouse has never wronged me.

All these pleb mice without 17+ buttons. Fucking disgusting.

loved my g5, until the battery slot fucked up.

g602 is pretty good with just AA batteries, could lose some of the thumb buttons though

is this fake?

I’ve been using the m65 pro from Corsair for the past year now and I absolutely love it. I am in the market for a new mouse though to use with my laptop. I’d like to be kinda heavy, around the same weight as the m65 and also wireless. Any recommendations would be great

Attached: FEC9290C-1CAB-48C9-BBF6-E53BE372BC05.jpg (4032x3024, 2.24M)

How long does the battery last? I've been looking for a wireless mouse to use for my laptop, but this seems like the only affordable one with at least 4 side buttons

Wireless mice are inherently heavier.

Just got my MX master 2S and it's pretty fucking nice. So comfy after fingertip gripping a small mouse for years. Really heavy too.

I had 3 or 4 logitech mice over the years, all of them either had middle click problems, double clicked or caused my PC to slow down to a crawl whenever plugged in (electronic failure).
I went with a razer basilisk this time and it seems to have started falling apart even faster, I'll try zowie next probably but at this rate it seems that no mouse will last more than one year without having some problem.

Anything with lots of mechanical moving parts that is made in china is going to fail under heavy use. It's just the way it is.

Sharkoon Fireglider black.

Almost 6 years old. Pic is not mine. The rubberised coating has worn off over the years, so it's now mostly shiny plastic. Still works great though. Don't really have any reason to replace it.

I'm learning to accept this

aye brother. if you don't buy zowie you're subhuman

Attached: ZowieMasterRace.jpg (620x368, 33K)

Got the same stuff. Can't complain for its price.

after buying 3 logitech mice and they all eventually started getting that double click problem i am sick of that company but i dont know where else to turn to

what brand is known for building the most durable mouse

>what brand is known for building the most durable mouse

Wasn`t that Logitech?

Logitech mice are cheap crap.

Attached: sensei.png (1050x600, 59K)

long time, very satisfied. months of use. rechargeable batteries ftw

>Logitech mice are cheap crap.
Yeah they are now.

I guess so. Few years ago I bought a Logitech mouse, as I was hearing good things about them. The build quality was inferior even to some cheaper Microsoft mice, I couldn't stand it. Thankfully I was able to return it in a couple of days, and got my money back.

I'd say shilling, but Logitech actually makes great mice. Plus their warranty is great. I had issues with my G502 and they just sent me a brand new one of the latest model without much issue.

Software looks retarded but works. I use it so much for different game profiles and I used to have a Zeus ult sound spam set up on it before Valve nerfed sound spamming.

Klim Skill. Cheap and good.

Is there any replacement for this? Had this back in 2011 and it was really good until the cable broke. Warranty'd it but they sent me a shitty model that didn't seem like it passed QC, it also broke within a month.

Attached: 926swzm.jpg (1500x1002, 62K)

I just realised, that I literally haven't held another model in hand for almost ten years
Kinda love tho

Attached: eIWqz4-UoGI.jpg (720x720, 60K)

After getting a trackman, I felt using the side scroll is more efficient than the scroll wheel.

tell that to the chinkshit mouse I used before switching

Is there a term for mice that are fat (no grips or contouring or whatever) and flat? I don't even know where to start looking. I refuse to conform, these new shapes hurt my hand.

perfection

best cheap mouse of all time

Have had this mouse for over 5 years only problem is middle click broke.

Sup trackball friends.

I love the Kensington Expert Mouse with its symmetry, chords, and scroll ring. Used to use the beige "Turbomouse" version in the past.

I have a chink knockoff razer deathadder that I cant stop using on my spare PC, very comfortable, only issue is the middle mouse button has some gay ass rubber and it slips without scrolling the wheel too lazy to fix it and the thumb mouse buttons are starting to kick the bucket

got this mouse recently its nice all the dpi and lighting is done on the bottom of the mouse
