Huge fucking deal.

Make your own.

Here's a summary of the replies you're going to get:

Now please delete this thread and fuck off.

Local filesystems is a dead meme.

>STILL doesn't have a filepicker
Linux does. There are even file pickers where you can have arbitrary size *zoomable* icons in a tree view, not just a tiled grid.

Go bother Furryfox to switch to QT or fix their shit with a better file picker.

What you are referring to is the GNU system.
Linux is just a kernel.

Why should a kernel include a file picker?

Hell, KDE niggers don't even get a calculator.

kde.org/applications/utilities/kcalc/

Everybody else get's one by default.

There is kcalc and a desktop widget. Also, you're not required to run only KDE project made software on KDE.

Yea, these are default if you install all of KDE.

Obviously not if you install only this and that component in your Gentoo, but that's surely not violating expectations?

What the fuck? You're right! This is a bigger scandal than the file picker. The file picker only matters to meme-masters, a calculator is a life essential feature. This is why Linux is a joke.

Kek

>you're not required to run only KDE project made software on KDE
But you're required to run KDE to use KDE software what a fucking piece of shit

Nah, you can run kde software like dolphin on AwesomeWM or whatever.

Admittedly I don't currently remember if you were able to run the plasma widgets in some way. Maybe that small part of KDE's software only runs on KDE?

+ use xfce

I have no idea what that is or does, sorry.

worse, it has no skyrim. not even under kde

Yo what's your gtk theme user?

Oh, cool.

And KDE developers don't include in their own distro, disgusting.
The file picker is functional, you can even drag and drop from Nautilus, not including a calculator is plain ratarded.
Not an argument

WOW! only add a search box and the ability to edit files there and you will be as advanced as Windows Vista.

not him but its ant dracula

>Granny, just type rm / -r in KRunner to calculate your taxes
What could go wrong?

...

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Why would that work under a normal user? Jesus, you are so fucking brain dead that you can't even shitpost correctly.

BTFO

>Granny, just type the password if it ask
What could go wrong?

>What could go wrong?
Nothing, as it requires root password.
Idiot.

>Granny, just open Terminal and type "sudo rm -rf /*"
>Granny, just go to "My Computer" and delete C:/Windows
Fuck off.

Doesn't even ask for a password. I literally tried that because I knew that the developers wouldn't overlook something like that. Go kill yourself shitstain
You can rename files by right clicking, going to properties, and renaming the file there. Might not be as easy as just right clicking, but the option is there. Sadly, no search function but that isn't that big of a deal since my files are organized.

That is why grannt types the password moron
You see? including a calculator would be avoid so much problems, but KDE developers are just stubborn, hell, GNOME developers are more open minded, they actually include a calculator

>I literally tried that
If you did, you wouldn't have a working system right now, all those lame excuses for not including a calculator, pathetic.

>current state of gnome shills

If you are giving her the root password, she should be able to delete anything. Linux does not babysit you like a toddler toy OS.

wew, granny is safe now

I want to fugg my granny

Not an argument
>Linux does not babysit you like a toddler toy OS
It doesn't mean it shouldn't include a calculator, even Windows 3.1 had one, was Windows 3.1 ahead of its time? or KDE developers are being fags?
>Calculator is a pluggin
But KDE fags hate pluggins and addons, they attack GNOME for that every time they can.

>KDE doesn't have a calculator

Attached: pqafkb6d9ba01.jpg (645x729, 49K)

>bbbbut it's a plugin!!!!
Nice work moving the goalposts. Anyways, it's part of the official plugins included by default.

Windows will fight you tooth and nail to not let you touch system files, even as an admin.

>STILL doesn't have a filepicker
Why would a kernel need one? kek

It's literally a single gnome shill, check the previous threads and you will see the exact same non sense """arguments""" and butthurt.

what the fuck is a filepicker and why would i want one?

Arch has the most bloated packages out of all distros
Install gentoo

It's called cuck OS for a reason;

my.mixtape.moe/msvqxr.webm
proof I did it myself. kys fag
also shitty JS plugins that run on the same thread as mutter that will crash the entire DE if it something bad happens isn't the same as plugins for a separate application that isn't directly tied to KDE Plasma
His stupid ass "criticism" of krunner isn't valid and is as dumb as saying a normal user can delete system32.

Why do GNOME developers now unironically shill their """brand""" here?
igurublog.wordpress.com/2012/11/05/gnome-et-al-rotting-in-threes/
zdnet.com/article/linus-torvalds-finds-gnome-3-4-to-be-a-total-user-experience-design-failure/

The difference is that KDE developers work together and make sure the plugins are functional with every release, while GNOME doesn't give a shit and breaks all plugins with every update

But why use a plugging when they can just include a calculator? Is retarded

They do both

KDE Neon don't, and it is maintained by KDE developers

Attached: file.png (572x125, 11K)

It doesn't deny the fact that is maintained by KDE developers and doesn't include a calculator

They give an extremely lean version of KDE Plasma built on top of Ubuntu LTS. It is meant as a testing bed for the stable version of KDE Plasma. I don't see why you would expect a non essential piece of KDE software to be preinstalled. Just because it has a "K" in it, doesn't mean it is part of the DE.

Ain't a calculator worth of being tested, are they retarded or what?

It isn't part of the DE. They are testing the software that is part of the DE. They chose what is part of the DE. Don't like it? Go open a ticket. I'll be worried if Kubuntu didn't have it, but not KDE Neon

They also don't include KMix, krita, kdenlive or konqueror
oh noes

Why even call it a DE if it doesn't ship with basic programs? It is retarded

>mAKe Ur oWn

Attached: 1521239484125.png (1126x337, 695K)

Why would a DE ship with optional packages? So you can say "muh bloat"?

A basic application like a calculator is considered bloat by KDE developers, how retarded are they?

Here's your last (you), gnome dev

A DE is supposed to have a WM, some sort of application switcher (like a task bar), a way to view and start applications, a terminal, and a file manager. Barebones KDE Plasma, what KDE Neon has, already supplies that. They chose to include a few other packages, but that is their choice. KDE Neon isn't a replacement for Kubuntu. Most people won't even know about KDE Neon. I would guess that KDE fans are the ones that are trying out KDE Neon so they know what they want/don't want.

A DE is supposed to have what you would have on a desktop, like a calculator, that is why is calle DE, Desktop Environment, you excuses are becoming lamer every time

I'll give you one more (you) for the road gnome dev. I'm surprised you were able to shitpost with me since you are too busy taking away features while also increasing RAM usage.

At least GNOME includes a calculator

KDE doesn't have a calculator? wow, just wow.

He's just memeing
kde.org/applications/utilities/kcalc/

It doesn't come with KDE Neon, the official KDE "distro" and they refuse to add it, they are too stubborn

No wonder GNOME is getting bloated and losing features. There devs can't understand the purpose of KDE Neon. Not surprised since they don't know what Xfce is.

Gnome doesn't even have an official distro. I guess that it doesn't even exist then?
And as others already pointed out, KDE neon is only meant for developers to have a "clean" unbranded KDE to test, not for the normal user who can't install what he needs

No wonder KDE is not the standard Linux DE like GNOME, KDE developers cannot understand the importance of including productivity software, even basic one like a calculator.
It doesn't need to, every mayor and important distro has it as default, KTards had to make their own one, and it doesn't even include a calculator, pathetic.

Kubuntu

*standar
archive.rebeccablacktech.com/g/search/text/GNOME standar/username/Anonymous/

>standard Linux DE like GNOME
But why does nobody use it? Why was it forked like 10 times already?
It's because the devs are retards
igurublog.wordpress.com/2012/11/05/gnome-et-al-rotting-in-threes/

Kubuntu is shit, even KDE users hate it, theyb think is an attemp from Canonical to boycott KDE
Not an argument

>But why does nobody use it?
That is what NEEts want to believe
>2012
KYS

This isn't about Arch being bloated. It's about any single component (calculator, file manager, image viewer etc.) of KDE requiring the entire DE as a dependency whereas you can use the same component from another DE without installing the entire DE.

Attached: 4564563.png (204x203, 85K)

>That is what NEETs want to believe
Says the 24/7 footfag shill.

It is the truth, GNOME is the standard Linux DE, the most used Linux DE

there's a gtk3 patch as well by someone else
