>neo-psychedelia, electronic, anco meets joy electric

that is the longest shortest album i've ever seen. i really like how spooky this is. those first two tracks are pretty well conceived noise soundscapes. there's an element of the ethereal, but also concrete instances that bring it down to earth. or down to hell, if i may. track three is amazing vaporwave from hell.

i've heard this album several times already. you guys remind me of women metts 90's powerpop. this is great!

this sounds great. love the jazzy bedroom vibe this gives off, while also having some of the most professional sound i've heard in these threads. great voice, great sounding guitar, and just a chill ass tune overall.

this is actually really lovely. you kept your songs short, which is smart. projects like these tend to get boring very fast. but having a variety of different tunes, with only 3 tracks that reach the 2 minute mark, is a great way of showcasing how varied your tracks are without boring the audience. hell, i listened to most of it just writing this review. extreme song is definitely a highlight. i love the distorted arpeggios. i just wish you took more chances like in that track. there's potential for experimentation that i feel you didn't take. overall though, good work.

this hits ya right in the feels. great production and flow. i'll probably revisit this soon.

i really enjoyed paw paw's songs. with this new track it looks like you've learned a lot and you're showing off what you've got. it's got a sort of haunting bjork-y vibe. i love the btreathy and laid back vocals, and the ambient/trip hop beat. it works really well and i'm excited for the full thing.

added this to my recs on bandcamp right after I finished listening to it a few hours ago. This is so well composed/structured/arranged. I love all the little detailed elements that come and go. Beautiful album.

Been a fan of you for a while, in fact, I still have some zenosyne stuff on my iPod that I listen to quite often. Also, Lucid Piano and now nocturnes for L. have to be my favorite Epiglottis albums yet. I absolutely love this piano sound.

Epiglottis here. First of all - I haven't got a clue that somebody still cared for Zenosyne... Well, it's good to get wrong sometimes! Your album is deeply suited in my backlog and I haven't got a proper listen yet. However, I really like the first and third track. Both deeply remind me of Tim Hecker in some twisted day (although I'm deaf so don't get too excited by this comparison). One thing however that annoys me more and more - why do so many ambient guys and girls went Japanese all of the sudden? I know, vaporwave is hip at this moment but come on, you can do better than that lad!

I am I actually think I'm relatively stable. I went through some pretty major depression in high school due to some physical trauma and the aftermath of it. I became pretty obsessed with the concept of depth and permanence. While I'm not really depressed anymore I still have a morbid curiosity with death.

I'm actually working on some stuff right now that deals with death as a physical person. It is about my relationship and curiosity with death being the longest lasting relationship I have with anyone outside of family.

Writing it out and reading it, it does sound pretty fucked up tbqh.

really, really cool twist on bedroom lofi pop n the like. have you listened to john fahey?

really cool production, i like this

i like the sort of hip-hop type beat going on in this song, it's kinda like a pop-driven noise track or something?? really unique, i'll have to come back to this once the full thing is released

beautiful

Thank you so much man, "chunky" was exactly what I was going for with the distortion so I'm glad it found its definition in your opinion too

Animal Collective was definitely a huge influence on the album and it's interesting you say you get a sung tongs feel towards it. Actually I'm incredibly honored for that comparison because the other say I was thinking to myself that I've never really heard a Sung Tongs-esque record either. So thank you, and I'm sure Kaiah really appreciates it as well.

More recs as well

I really wish more of you were on spotify. That tends to be the number one way I listen to my music since I'm out and about from school to work.

is it easy to do that? i figured it was more difficult than it was worth at this particular point in my project

okay....this is fucking amazing? i'm gonna listen to this whole album holy shit

yes, you essentially give a distributor like CD Baby $89 or so and they'll put your music everywhere

right? lit

Jumping on that question too. If you're looking for something of that nature I think pages like RouteNote are your best free picks. Look it up. I put one of my albums though that and so far I have no problems what so ever

Hahah, yeah it's overdone, but it was too fitting with the aesthetic to avoid doing (esp. because I love the way Japanese song titles look). I was thinking of just using a different asian language but Niptongue looks the nicest.

Thanks a lot! This new LSO seems quite large so I have to really set some time aside to give it a proper listen. I loved murmurances, so I'm excited to check this new one out.

that sounds way too expensive unfortunately

Thank you! I have to admit that extreme song is actually my best song yet, and I have been planning on making more songs like it
I loved Domo Chapel by the way! Keep it up!

I've said it once and I will say it again, Cherubim is one of the comfiest songs I've ever heard. I just love this so much, probably because Sung Tongs is on my top 3 favourite anco albums
I also dig the biblical lyrics, good stuff

thank you so much! I haven't listened to John Fahey, but I will check him out.
What album/song/whatever should I listen to?

I will try to put my albums on Spotify!!

routenote looks rad ill check it out, thanks!

No problem. But be warned - from my experience this page is laggy as all hell so don't get too nervous!

At the moment I use distrokid's services. For $20 a year I get my music storaged in spotify, itunes, beats, basically everywhere. Not a bad deal if you can spare some cash.

Haha this makes me really happy to read. I spent a lot of time in two months trying to get the bulk of it completed. I was honestly hating the project and the songs that when it came to the final track (the title track) I didn't want to bother with recording so I just did one take in my truck at 3 am. Comments like this (any comment at all really) especially make that struggle worth it.

check out Days Have Gone By! it's beautiful, it's all instrumental and almost completely just solo guitar, but very expressive and unique. i think you would get a lot out of it!

Meant to say Tidal, not beats

Upping that choice of service

i understand the feeling. my HSP ep was supposed to be like 6 tracks but i was getting so burnt out that i just left well enough alone at 3. its really hard to make things when you can step outside yourself and know what it sounds like to other people, you get self conscious in a really bad neurotic way

Fahey is reeeeally good so definitely check him out but I also suggest taking a listen to his contemporary Robbie Basho. But hey, nothing wrong with going through a Frankie Cosmos influence! We need more of her around anyways. And yes, if you can put it on Spotify that would be very appreciated. I've logged in almost 300 plays on that new Cosmos album

Hey dude, here, this is legit awesome stuff! I wish I were as good; this is absolutely insane. Loving that 90s rave dance music vibe. That kick in 'The castle' is so insanely powerful, it's sex to my ears. Keep it up, man!

The problem is 90% of the stuff here I can't criticize or comment because it's not my kind of thing.

Thanks mate, wasn't expecting someone to actually listen to it. I mostly do this for myself honestly, I rarely post in these threads

RouteNote can only accept MP3 files for the free service so unless you want your music to sound like shit then go right ahead

Indeed that's a huge bumper but if you want your job done - it's the safest bet I know

I'm loving it so far, thank you so much for recommending me this. This really is wonderful!
It's so beautiful, aaaaaaah

I will check him out! I listened to some songs by him and I really liked it. It really reminds me of something, but I don't remember what it is.
Next Thing by Frankie Cosmos is AOTY for me, it's just incredible.
I also realised that everything I've made is basically an early Frankie Cosmos rip off. Just check out her early releases, it's just way too similar: really short songs and warm chords, shit, even the song names are in lowercase too.
She is waaay better than me though, her music is out of this world.

bags.bandcamp.com/

Indie hip-hop label, feedback is greatly appreciated.

First track has very nice sounds, percussions were great. Probably gonna listen to it again later, enjoyed it. Not my kind of style sadly (similar though), so I can't criticize on the technical side; I can just say my ears were having a good time.
Also you're from Belgium, I kinda see why you liked that hard trance/ravish track

Haha Frankie is good but she's never made an extreme song. The fact that you're willing to experiment is what drives my hope that your music will transcend it. But yeah, thanks for the recommendation, I definitely will give it a chance

Really good dude. I love the alt-country vibe to it. It's almost a little bluesy. Like really love it. I love the growly-raspy part right around 2:50, but the guitar after that is a little sloppy. Can't wait to hear more.
Love your voice dude. It's really reminding me of someone. I wanna say Bon Iver? It is kinda like Bon Iver, but it's similar to the lead singer of The Antlers. Regardless, I love it. I feel like the synths and the opening are a little cheesy on the first song, but I'm just not a synth guy. I like it more when it gets into it. It seems kinda cheesy though, and a little repetitive.
Luma is great. I'm not religious, but there's nothing wrong with good Christian music. It has good musical qualities, and you're singing about something that means a lot to you. I love the lo-fi scratchy aspect of it. Keep it up. Maybe make your vocals a little bit clearer in the mix? I'm just glad to see some really great diversity in the genre of Christian music.
You're always welcome here my man.

Digging this. The instruments varying between working together and acting independently is great.

Not for me. The noise in their is far too jarring for me.

Amateur is right. And that is alright. Excited to hear your new album and see some growth. Keep it up.

Love your album cover. Production is really good.

I like this a lot more than PawPaw's songs. The sample is great.

I don't know much about vaporwave but this seems kind of bland. Relaxing though.

I really like your album cover. Same as above, I don't know much about vaporwave.

I like your vocals a lot. If you ever move past the bedroom quality this could be really good. I like your lyrical content.
Your pants look to tight
Not for me. Really digging the textures on phases though.

I think house is a fine description, but my knowledge of electronic music is admittedly lacking. Some good stuff in here. Black Box and Lost Within Myself. Sorry I can't be too constructive. See again the lack of electronic knowledge.

Digging this. Pretty atmospheric.

Pretty sure I've listened to this but I'm not 100% positive. I know you said you're going for clunky, but I think if you cleaned the vocals up from an engineering standpoint this could be really really good.

How long have you been singing? It sounds like if you got more comfortable working with your voice this could be solid.

Lots of cool textures going on here. I Smell Trash and Network stand out with them. Agreed the cover is pretty bad though.

Hot damn, digging this my dude.

Slow poke has a cool melody. Not too big on your vocals.

I listened to your single. Some of the more talk-y vocals aren't too good. I like it over all though. If you guys ever tour you should try and come through Ball State.
