Keep On Lying is the greatest song ever made. I am not exaggerating or using hyperbole, I dare you to find a better song, any genre

>I dare you to find a better song, any genre

youtube.com/watch?v=KQH2Kq1QXaI

And that isn't even the best Tame Impala song

Literally blown the fuck out

OP consider kys

Keep On Lying is better. Apocalypse Dreams is good but its just a prog rock dirge,

>prog rock dirge
This is a bad meme

>I dare you to find a better song, any genre

youtube.com/watch?v=IF5E2X55_kg

the frist shoegaze

Yeah no it's modern prog rock at its finest while not being too derivative. Keep On Lying is your typical Beatles single Kevin Parker style although that is not a bad thing

youtube.com/watch?v=bK7HJvmgFnM

It wasnt even a single haha its one of the more psychedelic tracks actually

Man, I just don't get why people hail Tame Impala as such a great band. I mean they sound like a decent psychedelic act, but I don't get why people make posts like op, "the greatest song ever made". It's always like that with Tame Impala fans, they can't be convinced that Tame Impala isn't the best thing ever.

I pretty convinced that it's some kind of false-flagging to make people dislike Tame Impala and their fans

i think youre the retarded one who cant see how good their music is or what they stand for. theres no conspiracy theyre that good

It's just mindless Sup Forums shitposting. They know it will get your jimmies rustled. And they are too bored with life to do anything more interesting.

Simple Definition of dirge
: a slow song that expresses sadness or sorrow

how is this AD? I mean, the end is slow, but the song as a whole doesn't sound sad or melancholy

This song makes a lot of sense to me. Having a massive, epic daydream that is more real than real life - your dreams coming true, the love of your life, pushing through your problems... but it's just a dream. You come back to reality and it's terrifying, so you keep retreating to the dream, trying to recapture that feeling. The scariness of life starts bleeding over into the dream, twisting it... do you really need all these goals? What's so bloody great about life anyway? You tell yourself you've stopped caring. Paralysed by your apocalypse dreams, the world turns too fast for you to keep up with...

Such a loner's concept; god I love these guys and their fantastic introverted music.

Because they are literally the best band of the decade

this.

>getting this asspained
what does their music "stand for"? I'd really like to know

Perfection

literally rÄ—ddit the band

Well it's far from that, so I suppose they haven't made their point

>not Grimes
>not Beyonce
>not 21 Pilots

>I dare you to find a better song, any genre
Done
youtube.com/watch?v=g1kDd6yBQZ4

they're the beatles of this generation dont you fucking get it?? they represent a type of band that only comes around every decade or so, they are pushing rock music forward like radiohead did. ok computer was about realizing how bad 21 century life is with technology, and lonerism is about rejecting society to find your true self, its continuing its theme of existentialism, even with their most recent album currents, its getting closer to bigger and better things, you are getting go closer to a kind of cosmic consciousness, getting closer to the higher self and extreme Love that's within

While I do agree with you, I think this song doesn't get enough love. I do think it's sort of basic but I think it's one of the better songs off of Innerspeaker. youtube.com/watch?v=Rywi9oXJg08

Even if this isn't their intention, the fact that the music can inspire this type of theory is pretty special.

of course its not their intention. ive seen tame impala live, theyre not like the most perfect band in existence, they fuck up, and kevin's writing isnt absolutely gold, but its what hes doing that is way more important. and i just happen to love his music a lot too and be into psychedelia but even if i wasnt, their music is absolutely mindblowing

You listened to 21 Pilots ? They are really like meme impala without synths and echoes

>ive seen tame impala live, theyre not like the most perfect band in existence
Tame Impala is notoriously mediocre live. They're bedroom-rock, and they're damn good at doing that.

currents>lonerism>innerspeaker

daily reminder

lmao
youtube.com/watch?v=f-uH1TAGe0I

i think this song is just as good as apocalypse dreams and keep on lying but it doesn't get much attention

youtube.com/watch?v=Gkp05lmogIM

currents has like 3 good tracks
lonerism and innerspeaker are really fucking great from beginning to end. I used to prefer the proggy style from innerspeaker but lonerism has captivated me more and more with time

Jesus christ I hope this is bait.

Can you put the word Tame Impala if you make another thread? The filter doesn't work otherwise

b8 but i honestly think this is the greatest song ever made

youtube.com/watch?v=WxXgzwhHCuU

Best song on the album. The middle to end of the song is mind bending

It's shitposting for the most part. Although when I was 17 I thought they were the shit, so it might just be teenagers who've never heard any other psych before.

actually it's the exact opposite.
jesus christ, just end yourself

I dont want to give this band any more chances, they keep disappointing.

>the greatest song ever made is just one bassline that uses fifths

it uses thirds and seconds too, pleb
