he's good

A twat.

Shane Dawson > RayWilliamJohnson >>> Fantano

a betrayer

best reviewer

Pretty good. The quality of the reviews are mostly consistent but sometimes he outdoes himself and really puts together a focused perspective on an artist and their work.

He's gotten EXTREMELY meme-y in the past few months but, given that you're a stupid frog poster, you should check his alt channel out.

he has good and bad opinions. defiantly worth to see his point of view. he does his research and he's consistent.

he's fine.
op, just remember that you should not abstain from listening to something because he doesn't like it. one of these days you're going to listen to an album before he does, you're going to love it, and he's going to hate it. take everything he says with a grain of salt.

i like his bandcamp vids

What did he mean by this, Sup Forums?

He's good. Don't always agree with his reviews but is pretty genuine and thought out with his opinions and I respect that.

Like said before he's pretty meme sometimes but not in a shitty watc

He explains his opinion very well but never goes into the music any further than the timbre and overall sonic "texture" of the music, if you want a good reviewer, check out the stuff Owen Pallet wrote on some mainstream pop singles, good stuff, wish he wrote more.

Has that shitty 2010's flavor to him that is absolutely repulsive when he reviews classic albums.
He should just stick to reviewing Death Grips and other modern-day pretentious thrash.

only retrospective album reviews are good.
all of tnd's are first impressions and should be treated as such.

how did I end up on bizzaro-Sup Forums

hes coming out of the closet

>all of tnd's are first impressions and should be treated as such.
honestly this is why i find it kind of suspect when he says that he's never really had a total shift in opinion on any of the albums he's reviewed. don't get me wrong - imo the majority of the time our first impressions do end up being an approximation of how we'll feel about a piece of music in time - but often anthony listens to an album a few times over the course of around 2 days and the fact that he claims that his opinions/taste tend to stay pretty fixed is odd to me.

Hipster trash

Good music journalist, piss poor critic. He names a musical element and tells you if he thought it was bad or good, but he doesnt tell you why.

Every Fantano review is 2 min of history and context followed by 15 minutes of subjective bullshit.

>Shane Dawson
>actual faggot
>steals jokes

really nigga

He seems knowledgeable and confident in his reviews, but God DAMN he has the most punchable face I have literally ever seen. I think it's his baby dimples added to his thick framed cuck-glasses. His whole look just screams "hey! I'm a trendy millenial!"

didnt RayWJ retire like 4 years ago?

Sup Forums is bizarro-Sup Forums (^:

He's said the opposite. He does change his opinion.

His bandcamp videos might be his only worthwhile content.

As a reviewer of more mainstream commercial albums, he does not:

1. Have prior access to albums

2. Have well-researched insights into the historical position of the albums within their genres or in any innovations of the compositions of the albums

3. Have any intreresting notes about the production or composition that cannot be easily inferred by his listeners.

4. Offer the past historical utility of a critic: namely, critics thrived because people had very limited resources with which to spend on music. Music criticism of mainstream music is obsolete because a large portion of the material will be available for streaming, torrenting, or very cheap digital purchase. A critic of any worth MUST review music widely ignored by the masses. Fantano doesn't really do this, save for his Bandcamp series.
