Hello friends, this is a thread for experimental music discussion. To clarify: Noise, drone, electroacoustic, free improvisation, futurism, indeterminacy, musique concrete, sound collage, and all that good stuff.
What have you been listening to? What have you been making? Movie and literature recommendations, concert experiences, gear, etc. are all welcome.
I have been listening to Venereology actually, I heard it had grindcore/deaty metal influences, so I gave it a shot. pretty enjoyable

>another round of RYM babies posting hilariously entry-level albums which they still aren't capable of saying anything interesting about >another round of absolutely pathetic Bandcamp/Soundcloud link spam >another round of shitposting galore
What if they are generic rehashes of old styles already made numerous times?
What about albums in other genres which are technically experimental but don't fit under your list of ''experimental genres''?
Owen Butler
Good fucking work starting the thread itself with one of the most entry-level meme albums of all time, by the way. You dudes are too much.

how does it feel to be this pathetic?
Tyler Wright
Shut the fuck up.
Jackson Murphy
how does it feel to be this insecure?

>listening to Peter Brötzmann, William Parker, Hamid Drake Never Too Late But Always Too Early
I don't like Drake on that one, but the album's fucking solid. I can't get enough of Peter's rough timber.

>Noise, drone >/experimental/ what the fuck am I reading?
Grayson Garcia
How did you get that from my posts?
Everything I said in is correct, as that is the way these threads always turn out. Everything I said in is also correct, as the album in the OP is indeed an extremely entry-level meme album which nobody who actually knew anything about "experimental music"(which noise, drone, free improv and all those other genres hardly qualify as being at this point, by the way) would use to start the thread with.
