No. Don't bother.

vampire weekend are better (no contest).

Why don't you listen to it and decide for yourself?

A bit dated, but Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes is great. So is Graceland.

Not really desu. Quite a boring pop rock album that uses African influences as a crutch instead of a feature.

Pros: Chevy Chase in the music vid for "You can call me Al"
Con: Is it cool to be a pop act, venture over to Africa borrow their musical ideas for an album and then move on?

Conclusion: I don't know OP

It is good

yes.
also, joe strummer said it was the best album of the 80s

Is it teen-time at Sup Forums right now, or what's up?
Graceland is a great pop-album.

yes

It's always teen time, with embarrassing middle-agers trying to be hip.

>Con: Is it cool to be a pop act, venture over to Africa borrow their musical ideas for an album and then move on?
Absolutely, they borrow our ideas all the time.

>joe strummer said it was the best album of the 80s
That's not even remotely true whatever way you look at it. Even from a normie perspective Remain in Life is better, more influential and more politically correct cultural appropriation, while other pop giants like Michael Jackson and Madonna fucking destroy it in popularity.

Handful of bangers

>Graceland
>The Boy in the Bubble
>I know what I know

Perfect comfy album

>Remain In Life

(You)

what makes remain in light more politically correct?

Hey Al

David Byrne only tried to steal music from his bandm8s, not africans or guest performers.

ofc u homo, paul simon's career till the 80's was great and after that good

>Graceland
>Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes
>Under African Skies
>That Was Your Mother

Idk about politically correct cultural appropriation (fuck I gagged just typing that) but Remain in Light is just genuinely less tacky sounding. Graceland uses African instruments just to use them where as Talking Heads at least sound like they're doing something unique and original with those kinds of rhythms.

Graceland also doesn't have Brian Eno. Instant 0/10.

"An album without Eno, yea- no"

>politically correct cultural appropriation (fuck I gagged just typing that)
I just wrote it that way as a joke, don't worry m8.

His cover sure is youtu.be/SdgccpUPKEU?t=30m39s

I figured, its cool
