Tell me about S

you think u feel bad but open up the window or go for a walk
and you'll see how things really are

mother watch me burn: cool cover
how is the koto music
do you like koto music
I do

ssssssssss
gosh I really should listen to hawkwind
what's a good one to listen to

ps I liked death, the vocals were pretty cool and the guitar too but sometimes the drums were a little pitterpattery you know what I mean?
not thick enough or beefy enough or something like that

that sounds really nice
do you like die kreuzen
they don't really have much to do with einstürzende neubauten but I always mix them up anyways

never listened to desu
do you like them?

if you liked Emergency & I, check out Change by them

S is something you'd most likely hate, a solo "diary" with rather rough guitar lines and singing. Touching but not exactly wondrous in technical ability or composition.
Nice trips
I feel really really really happy actually
A walk sounds great though
Nature makes me feel whole
The koto album is pleasant but not much more. Just interesting because it's from 1941. I do like koto music on the whole though.
You should try Katsumasa Takasago - Flower Dance, it's incredibly soothing.

their early stuff is nice pretty straightforward hardcore, which I really really love
youtu.be/MAAI5dLvuxE

I haven't really checked out their later stuff but supposedly it gets a bit weirder and post-punk/alt rocky maybe you'll prefer that

I do like change! I think I'm a bigger fan of ! and is terrified, you know the more post-hardcorey kind of stuff
how did you like their newest one a year or two ago?

also have you ever heard shudder to think?
youtu.be/V5VLhwR4Y14

I will do for sure
I'm still new to Japanese instrumental trad I usually prefer the folk singing stuff but koto music is so gorgeous

If u like singing stuff have you heard Umekichi? Nice blend of the two styles

+mgmt

so what's everyone's thoughts on the latest memes

too much irony these days I think

do you like butthole surfers

the name isn't ringing a bell but I'll stick it down
I can up you some nice minyo have you heard any minyo before

>do you like butthole surfers
never listened to them

mostly because of the name to be honest

The flower dance album i recced you is Min'yō, yea, and so is Umekichi.
Please do!

I don't really blame you
but if you were liking what you heard on tweez with the silly weird punky noisy stuff they do sorta similar stuff but better I think

also I bet you'll like
youtu.be/pDtAO0Fqwbs

sick

oops I can't find the link and I deleted it off my phone and the archive is down but I'll send it to you eventually it's my favorite minyo album it's okinawa minyo which is a bit different and really lovely

Props to you for the Clifton Chenier.
I love Zydeco.
(I also love sankyoku, so props to the koto/shamisen too)

+ Eno, Beefheart
- Jefferson Airplane
Can't say about the rest, though.
What can you say about the latest Swans? I never could get into them.

Chenier was great but that was my intro to zydeco, do you have any recs by any chance?
And yes the koto is a beautiful instrument.
What's McDowell like?
And try this

Loving the blues on there. Gotta check those out. Blue albums w/ cool covers are great 9/10 ten. Seems dumb to say but honestly blues is a genre where if the cover is great, the music is generally good
Trilogy is a fantastic project to be honest. Echoes of silince, >>>>>
Weeknd stays influential
How you liking the fjm LP

McDowell is good for dirty, slide blues. I wish I could play like him.

Thanks for the recommendation, sound dope.

Lmao meant to attach this photo

Where do I start with IU?

yeah i got a bit nostalgic today, the weeknd was my jam back in 2012 or whenever it was. shit held up well
2014 forest hills drive is goat btw, good shit.

yea i can see what you mean about the covers
Lightnin' Slim is definitely one to check out, fantastic swampy blues
you should listen to allen toussaint - southern nights
that link was good, thanks. slide guitar is fun as hell to play but i cant do it too great either
here's one of my favorite blues songs with a slide in it
youtube.com/watch?v=GLTh0gY1y9s

yes i like butthole surfers

quit imitating me

Haven't listened to the glowing man leak, but the threads where people have generally seem to say that it's just about as good as their last two albums.

I like it more than I Love You, Honeybear

i don't really like music too much these days so most recs are lost on me
thanks 4 trying anyhow

many thanks!
idk if you'd like hawkwind...
idk if I like them myself

>my intro to zydeco
Clifton is still the best in my opinion. Modern Zydeco is kind of a let down; the whole thing - traditionally - was accordion, drums and singing (with a some guitar thrown in sometimes); it was super stripped-down.

Modern Zydeco is bursting at the seams with musicians, the accordion often gets buried behind guitars, over-amped drums, and horns and fiddles. It's a drag.

One artist of note right now is Cedric Watson. His stuff is still pretty true to its roots.

>Cedric Watson
Pine Leaf Boys too.
