Jonathan Young
Really chill, kinda cheap, almost lounge German techno. One song appeared in that one movie, and that's all they're known for. A really pretentious acoustic sorta lo-fi singer songwriter album. Didn't take off but he has a few cult followers. Extremely good but under-the-radar post-metal album. People might get obsessed with it and call it genius in time but right now no one really knows about it. Really out there hippy indie stuff - like Jose Gonzales meets Sigur Ros. Proper Sweedish shanty punk. Loaded with good hard "local band" energy. Terrible emo album with horrible production value and lyrics about the lead singer's recent break up that are at once extremely vague and entirely too specific. Your local record store has eight copies on the 'local music' shelf and no one has touched them. 14 year old's first electronic album. Somewhere between upbeat video game music and eurotrance. There's Sytrus presets and default FL Studio 12 drum loops all over the album. A little long winded but otherwise good "modern world music" album featuring throat singing and mainly Himalayan sounds. Like Carmen Rizzo + Huun Huur Tu Jaunty indie folk with a lot of Christian influences, but not really a straight worship band. Two of the band members are married to each other and they all have that cabin hipster chic look.
