Ought

Melt-Banana has 2 9/10s, and they are really good right now. Next album definitely has 10/10 potential.

La Vida Boheme

I think if Big KRIT really tried he could make a GOAT rap album. He's had a lot of decent albums with a few fantastic songs on them. Or maybe he will never learn and stay mediocre forever.

Fleet Foxes

Matt Mays, MGMT and Violent Soho

>helplessness blues
>not 10/10

are they ever going to release another album, anyway?

They've released 2 already

Flying Lotus. Cosmogramma was so close.

Once they come out of hiding.

Both albums have weak moments but are overall 9/10's they are working on what is hopefully, their first 10.

mac demarco

Post-Nothing was so great, but I really felt they fell off on Celebration Rock. They sounded like Blink 182 or some shit on that album. I still think they have it in them though

Arca and Holly Herndon
neither have come close yet though

that album is a 10/10 though

Death Grips. IMO we've only seen the tip of the iceberg

True.

DIIV could release something good if they actually tried writing songs.

elvis depressedly

Ricky Eat Acid too

Aphex twin

lol

Deerhunter, although the last one was only a light 7.

Still waiting on how they follow it up since they've been teasing La Lucha lately

Micro castle and Halcyon Digest were both fantastic though. Maybe not 10/10 but at least a 9

i think ricky eat acid moreso than elvis depressedly. sam ray is super fucking talented and every release gets better and better

Niggas on the Moon

The strokes, is this it was a solid 9/10 but julian is doing big things with the voidz, I reckon a 10/10 will be coming after they release some horrible album in the near future.

King Krule/Archy Marshall or whatever other name he releases an album under

mbv

iamamiwhoami

Almost pulled it off with Kin.

Sea When Absent and Planning Weed Like It's Acid are incredibly fun and interesting albums but they're a bit too all over the place.
They're probably too busy having fun and making Christmas music to care about releasing a 10/10 album though.

streetlight manifesto

GP, NOTM, and BP are 10's. But I wouldn't be even a little bit surprised if they released another 10.

i know hes a meme artist for shittiness but i do believe that dave roland will someday release a good album

they play shows almost every day of the year while promoting material, they need a couple years of rest

Cage the Elephant.

If they kept going in the more exploratory direction Melophobia was going, rather than dig their heels in I feel like they really could have done something great.

Which two are your favorites?

...

This

nah his career's over. his music has aged extremely poorly

Yeah think it was something like 200 shows in about a year and a half in like 50 countries. But they kind of just disappeared for 3 years.

>Exmillitary
>The Money Store
>Bottomless Pit

Cell Scape and Fetch

Carly Rae Jepsen
iamthemorning
Tame Impala

Pile

it'll happen

Vampire Weekend. Lemon Sounds will be AOTY, I guarantee it.

>Carly Rae Jepsen
>somehow implying EMOTION isn't a 10/10

I wish Nathan would stop trying so hard

ive always said soulja boy, unfortunately ive been saying that for like 10 years now, and its always some stupid weak shit he puts out.

i guess desiigner or travis scott came very close with rodeo.

What even leads you into believing such a thing in the first place?

8.5/10 in my book. basically by potential I mean I hope she becomes the next Kate Bush or something

Freddie Gibbs

His work with madlib is cool and all but I feel like he could serve straight bangers with a different producer

>8/10
>9/10
>6/10

Cadillactica was pretty good but there was a few eh ones. I only liked a few off the new mixtape. I wonder win hes gunna drop next. Krit fan

eminem
someday he'll be back..someday
Too bad they will die of ODs before they even get close to putting out a 10. Or better yet, they'll make it but ruin their chances of releasing or making it trully happen due to their petty problems lol

he has really good forward thinking songs every once in a while, but its like 1 every 100 songs he relases

...

Cage the Elephany, The Black Keys, and Royal Blood have all released great albums, but no 10/10s so far.

I think CtE has the most potential, followed by Royal Blood, and Black Keys last because they probably won't release many more (they had like 5 or 6 before Brother) so their chances are pretty limited.

deafheaven?

they'll learn from the mediocre new bermuda and come back with something insanely good

Kid

Sunbather is a 10 imo. New Bermuda was a significant drop tho

the Black Keys peaked around 2003 with Thickfreakness/Rubber Factory. Brothers was pretty good too but I think they're done releasing quality material. Turn Blue was shite

Riff needs to get back with 3 Loco and make the dream album. Peach Panther was fun, but just didnt get to the next level lyrical wise.

First response best response. Also lotta optimists in this thread (the strokes??)

Liturgy

Their albums have their share of problems but when they hit the mark there's really something special there. There's so much that could be done with their new sound, I feel like The Ark Work was a test run and their next album will be their best yet.

This. As memey as they can be, what they do in the realm of metal (a stale genre) is next level.

Drake
Now hear me out, he has the money to accomplish almost anything. Thus, he could flip this whole boring relationship shit and come out suddenly with something completely new (to him.) I really feel he could pull a Kanye and get a MBDTF-tier album going if he pulls through rapping on some real shit over classic production that he works on for a few years consulting with his writers, producers, etc.

How has it aged poorly?

clipping. their debut was good, and 80% of wriggle was flawless. They just seem a little scared to experiment too much, and if they went totally off the hook insane on their third LP then it could be a 10/10.

i'm actually curious to see the evolution of royal blood's sound on their next album, i really hope they don't fuck it up

Lorn

youtube.com/watch?v=nxg4C365LbQ

his music tends towards a more aggressive aesthetic, but if he can put together a full release with more of his melancholic and lyrical side like this and sega sunset, then that would be GOAT material imo. more relateable to me at least

That should've been Views, but it's clear that he doesn't care enough to make that kind of a record as long as his current formula keeps printing money

Dead as fuck broadcast currently taking requests, here's the Sup Forums thread
(OP)

Michale Graves. He can write music, but can't seem to top stuff he did with the Misfits

This man gets it

Yeah K.R.I.T. is cool but I stopped following him a couple years back after he started releasing the same album like four different times
But user, look deep down and you'll see that UTQC was a 10/10 and a beautiful prequel to Cosmogramma with Dream to Me going into Clock Catcher and Clock Catcher representing waking up after a night of astral projection.
>Arca
Nah he's peaked and done
>Holly Herndon
Could definitely see it.
>Death Grips
Creatively peaked in 2012.
>
Yeah, thought he would come out with something really special after 6 feet but whatever his last thing was called was just sort of bland.
>Carly Rae Jepsen
Stop this meme, and stop it now.
>Tame Impala
Probably not, they won't top Lonerism.
Nothing VW have done has really aged that well imo.
I feel like Gibbs needed Madlib's help to not sound so one dimensional. Some of the skits at the end of those tracks though were just kind of shitty.
I really like Deafheaven but I feel like they're just sort of ideas at this point and their music hasn't really aged that well either outside of a few couple tracks.
The Ark Work was definitely underrated, can't wait to see what they do next and Hunter's Kel Valhaal project will at least be interesting.
>Drake
Stop this meme, and stop it now.
clipping. can be kind of nice but sometimes I feel like they take themselves too seriously, even if I know they're just big rap nerds trying to do it a little different that Diggs can be pretty corny sometimes.

I think pic related have put out two amazing albums and their third will be 10/10.

Take Care was great and I honestly loved So Far Gone and Thank Me Later. I think he could definitely pull it off. His producers are pretty talented imo.

yeah it's only been 6 years too. I thought You're Dead was his best album yet. I also think he could make a 10/10 album as Captain Murphy

St. Vincent

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizards. Their new album had them going in pretty much the complete opposite direction from their past work, and in my opinion, that's a good thing. Nonagon Infinity was the closest thing they had to a 10/10, and hopefully they follow up on it.

isaiah rashad

didnt they break up

I doubt hes gonna be dropping anything soon from behind his Austrian jail cell.

He has to record a full fucking album first.
