He's right about woods' album being underrated, wrong about radiohead and parquet courts being overrated

>IMHO
uh s-scaruffi

come on man

a moon shaped pool was pretty bad

>No Death Grips
Bottomless Pit 7/10 confirmed

It's actually their best since amnesiac. I don't like poppy radiohead so in rainbows isn't my cup of tea, HTTT is a clusterfuck, and TKOL has a weak second half. I like that AMSP is subtle, so it's not as simple as their poppier work, but doesn't go so far in trying to be inaccessible as TKOL did.

of course Scruffy is literally retarded, so...

Has he used this before?
Kinda spooked desu maybe he's been browsing here

...

>scaruffi
>humble opinions
who the fuck does he think he's kidding

There was a screencap of one of his tweets posted here once, it had a delete button and nothing popped up when I reverse image searched it so I think he does. He also used that smiley face he uses.

it's totally out of character for him

maybe he picked it up from a girl

Seems pretty ok with me.

remember that insane guy who had a blog with "sun" in the name

he tried to take on scaruffi. he attempted to contradict the master and got fucking humiliated

>andy stott
haha fagger

>scaruffi is contrarian

wow who would have guessed

I love DJ Andy Scott but that particular album is pretty mediocre

yo that Gnod release was pretty solid DESU

Dude fred what the fuck

Scaruffi is one of the few critics who gives your band some respect

>sun valley gun club

this is garb

I'm actually very happy he doesn't care for Slow Forever. I hope his review extends to Cobalt's entire catalog, because I'm fairly confident he'll like Gin and EoB

Malibu is a nice album

Human Performance was kind of disappointing. Its a solid release, but after Content Nausea and Monastic Living I really thought they were gonna go in a different direction.

yeah i could barely listen to a few songs off that album

Who cares about 2016 - I just wanna know his thoughts on the big 2015 releases. Was he disappointed by Holter and Newsom? What did he think about TPAB?

based scaruffi taking lamestreamers and p4plebs down a notch once again

does he think he's getting some kind of cred for saying he likes some artists off bandcamp? he could at least find some good ones.

tkol is easily the most accessible radiohead album

scaruffi.com/ratings/2015.html

strangely he doesn't mention any of them

and the only song in his playlist is beyond alive

absolute fucking madman

Props for rating the Oranssi Pazuzu album

He's busy right now. You just gotta wait.

>blackstar
>overrated
scruffy please, even if he was still alive it'd have been his best album in decades

scaruffi has never really been a huge bowie fan so this doesn't mean much

have you forgotten that their first three albums were radio-friendly alt rock

i thought he was an unbiased critic

Wrong but debatable about Radiohead and completely dead wrong about Bowie so no not at all

that means he has to love every bowie release? i predict he'll give blackstar a higher rating than most of bowie's other releases, or one that's at least on par, but that doesn't mean he can't find it overrated in the grand scheme of music.

imo and imho are not exclusive to Sup Forums

My dad explained to me what imho stood for when I was 10 in 2005

He's 99% right, ToD is aoty

this

i can only imagine the fascinating conversations you have with your father

gag me with a spoon

>imho
This dude definitely browses mu, also he is straight up the protagonist from losing my edge, since everyone got his music knowledge with the internet he has to go super contrarian now

What a madman patrician.

He posted on a lot of message boards in the 90s, he's 55 rn though

Yes I liked Human Preformance but it isnt AOTY worthy

Dude, bad taste. HTTT is amazing once the clutterness starts to clear up, it's one of my favorite Radiohead albums now.

Also the second half of TKOL is amazing, it grows on you.

I can understand your dislike of In Rainbows though.

He's probably gonna pan Moon Shaped Pool

suck my penis

AMSP is pretty bland. It's a safe step, they just made what they know they do well and added the orchestra.
AMSP is to Radiohead what AM was to Arctic Monkeys

I don't know, the song structures aren't necessarily conventional and it's not overtly melodic - they seem to have focused more on timbre and atmosphere. It's not my favorite by them, but I don't know about safe.

HTTT is my favorite of those three. I'm with you on that, I appreciate the clusterfuck quality. But I just don't like TKOL or IR that much, and I think AMSP slightly edges out HTTT

its accessibly "nice"

Better question is, will he give out an 8 this year?
Another 8.5+ this decade?

would the albums he liked be at least rated a 6.5 or a 7?

Moon Shaped Pool was one of the most boring albums I have ever heard.

Funny, he didn't like Losing My Edge much since it had "zero melodic development"

Oranssi Pazuzu's album might turn out to be one of my all time favorites.

Stott should be in the bottom list. Otherwise perfect taste as usual with Scaruffi.

"boring" isn't a valid criticism, as it describes the state of the listener and not the qualities of the music.
