dunno man, hate to say it but the radiohead AMSP is better release, glowing man is awesome but it's not like super a lot better than TBK. elseq is a bit of fun, handful of skippable tracks but I cant think of a single album like elseq.

no one talks about this one, but one of my favorite releases this year is jessy lanza "oh no"

Got me into watching Twin Peaks and damn that show is comfy

>9
fuck! this dropped? g'damn, I gotta put this in muh brain ASAP

nigga what that came out like last week

chill f a m p a i

Holy shit man me too. Though I have to admit I've been listening to more of the original soundtrack than the Xiu. Season 2 really steps it up in the atmospheric stuff.

...

Probably gonna be my noise album of the decade

eversince

I liked Glowing Man because it feels closer to being a successor to The Seer than TBK did. Moon shaped poop is definitely great but it didn't blow me away like other people have been.

Uh

Needs an update but still some of my favorites

You picked all the best covers that's for sure. Danke senpai

fair. desu I only think I liked to be kind better than seer bc i heard tbk first, ... radiohead i have been tracking since i was a kid it kind hits me deeply when they put out another album...

Not even the best album of the year in that colour scheme

my personal AOTY

youtube.com/watch?v=GLgiWqtiktY

A DANCER FROM GHANA

(SMILING IN TIJUANA)

the only right answer

This of course

...

Go to bed, Noah.

What kind of music is this?

GET MIXED IN THIS CRIPPLING FIXTURE

For me it's this or AMSP

White was the "two steps back" for Rivers after the emotional maturity he bore on songs like "Foolish Father" on EWBAITE

Glowing Man lost the tightrope balance that TBK had struck, faltering and falling into overindulgent meandering and excessive dissonance.

As much as I like Pablo, in the order Kanye gave it to us it's incoherent and missing key components like "Fall Out of Heaven"

Bottomless Pit can't touch the avant masterpiece of Niggas on the Moon, and it's not even in the same league No Love or Money Store

Views isn't as good as nothing was the same

man this has been the year of lackluster follow-ups

Young Thug has really come into his own with SS3, though. I say this as someone that really dislikes Barter 6.

lo-fi indie, art pop, noise pop, emo, bedroom music made on a grand, ambitious scale

teen suicide rule tbqh

...

this was actually more boring that tgm

not aoty but pretty cool

> lackluster year

kys

I haven't heard a single memorable thing from this year yet.

>kys
Please stop writing that, thanks.

this

That cover is the definition of artsyfartsy

...

This

>That NOAH is the definition of QT
fixed that one for you my friend

i wish it was

This.

this is overlooked (not aoty tho')

if only it were mostly instrumental

+

skepta desu senpai

...

there is no ddl in the archives, only stream. care to share?

armelle oberles voice is the best part of that album you pleb

Pic related, or maybe the new Sun Kil Moon/Jesu album.

pic related or Sound of Ceres - Nostalgia for Infinity

For me because I don't wanna decide one in no particular order

Glowing man by swans
Paining with by AnCo
Bottomless pit by death grips
Sleep cycle by deakin
Is the is are by diiv
Perfect by half Japanese
Three men and a baby by mike and the melvins

Honorable mention:
Tiny dots by la dispute (it was a soundtrack for their movie but it had a few unplugged renditions of their more popular songs)

And the astonishing by Dream theatre (I haven't given it a listen yet)

impossible kid
....

vomitself with merzbow might be one of the best songs to have ever been performed

that show makes me want coffee and pie like no other

not even close

i really wanna hear that new jessy lannza now, thanks senpai

It's still this.

I think that even knowing the album means I'm not a pleb dude. see how many replies have you got so far?

Hit Home - ...After the Fact

this one is so fucking good

hithome.bandcamp.com/album/after-the-fact

it was in jest man, but real talk i dont see whats wrong with her singing

...

>Pic related

and also make my list.

what album is that? i loved the cover

all acceptable AOTY choices
i really need to listen to both of these
really good album, not nearly as bad as some have been pretending it is. honestly better than LES tbqh famalam.
disappointment of the year. a big step-down from their last 3 albums.
good, but far from their best.

...

Surprised no one threw this up yet.

AMSP is my AOTY and i'll be shocked if anything dethrones it.

Mild High Club - skiptracing

it's a psychedelic pop mixed with jazz and electronics

6/10 at best

I find it hard to keep up with their output but dang this one is a good record

thanks for the response, sounds interesting, im going to hear it.

What's the happiest album of the year so far?

Why is an album you haven't heard in your honourable mentions?

that zimpel album is so bad idk why so many people think it's good.

Coloring Book

What's the best Drones album senpai?

either Wait Long by the River or Gala Mill.

I'm just a big Zimpel fanboy honestly.
I really wish he would just release another Hera album though.

This has been a surprisingly good year. I was a little worried at first that it wasn't going to be able to compete with 2015 but I've been proven quite wrong.

for me it is worse and worse gradually since 14

You're trying too hard to be edgy.

I agree

Fuck with this heavily. Saw em live twice in one night a couple of weeks ago. Would recommend

The drones are so underrated outside australia (and even in australia)

Not the user you asked the question, but i reckon their debut doesn't get talked about enough: 'here come the lies.' Raw and punky

Ikr? Feelin' Kinda Free didn't even get a Pitchfork review.

how? it was painfully non original and too much self recycled

Yep, and neither did i see seaweed iirc

I just got back from seeing them and god damn it this sounds even better live its gotta be this for me

Album Name? I can't image search this.

>I am a twat who's barely listened to any music released this year
what did he mean by this

>Painfully non original and self recycled

Good to know you've only listened to Kid A

I've listened to all of them, new one is a huge letdown after limbs

They recycled nothing. AMSP sounds like none of their other albums, and i can admit that they've been guilty of doing that in the past. (OKC and HTTT, Kid A and Amnesiac).

AMSP is a flawless album. Literally. I can't think of a single complaint that i have with it. Maybe the fact that they already used "Sail to the Moon" for a song title on a different album because that would've been an even more perfect title for the album. That's exactly how it sounds and how it makes me feel. The entire thing is just so striking.

Albur! - 0.02

the only right answer

AOTYSF either Swans or the Geroeogorgeogroegogroegorgeogegigiogi

This by far

I see seaweed definitely did

I liked these and Sleep cycle too

And The Great Unwinding

>dissappointment of the year
fuck you this is the best summer album of the year i can see myself jamming with friends on the beach while On Delay plays on the background on a weekend
