Favourite weird music obsession? Not 'guilty pleasure' as much, but something you really like but find odd/strange
I love Louis Armstrong, and that 1920's old-timey New Orleans jazz (it wouldn't be so weird but i'm 19 not fucking 80)

mm yeah thats good shit man
i like it when the band i'm listening to doesn't have any remaining members alive at this time.
maybe in a few years i'll come to appreciate the beatles
I don't think that's a weird obsession at all. I have it, too. I think it's just some of the most beautiful art ever made. Groundbreaking, and incredible pleasing to the ear. Not to mention, it sounds so different than music we hear today that it sounds fresh again. Makes perfect sense to me.
I have no idea why i fucking love this theme?
Heebie Jeebies is my favorite Armstrong song, good choice OP.
so far, I'm more into 1910s Dixie bands, but I plan on soon listening to more 20s jazz.
Any recommendations?

There's a lot of Louis Armstrong in the David Niven collection.
Unironically bad southern rap with the repulsive pen and pixel album covers. There's something beautiful about how disgusting it is.
this, same with slam death metal
fuck you.
Mysterious music that you can't find anything on other than other people wanting to know more than the select few bits of information available e.g. Les Rallizes Denudes, DDAA, Aporea, etc.
Couldn't say really user, other than King Oliver's Creole Jazz Band, and I know it's more 1910's but Jelly Roll Morton too?
I find it amazing how it's some of the most cheery happy up beat music which contrasts the fact it came from brothels and mostly squalor districts
Damn I really want to go to Nola
80s j pop
I am a HUGE Medieval classical fan. I also like underground Eastern European jazz.
any examples?
Got any recs for the first one? Are we talking renassiance fair lute kind of music or stuff like the Magnus Liber?
No. German Minnesanger and Sacred Chants.

I have an unhealthy obsession for Kanye West.
Love his music. Love him.
idk exactly how to phrase it but I like really fast poorly recorded drums
Hi Kanye

Here is a load of Minnesang and a few Sacred pieces. These are essentials in my opinion.
I'm not even kidding though. He got me into hip hop. I've listened to MBDTF probably at least 200 times in the past year alone, that's not including every other album is his that I listen to all the time. He's an interesting guy what can I say?
3/10 obvious rip off of the fleet foxes
