Is there any good Captain Beefheart one?

Go listen to Hot Rats (for solo Zappa) or We're Only in It for The Money (for Mothers of Invention), both classics.

Does anyone have the American Football one

>more fast & bulbous

I was thinking of remaking this flowchart in photoshop, not only it looks band and is way too short, but it also has some horrible choices for albums of their respective bands (horrible choices for Pink Floyd and Phish, way too much albums for some bands, only one KC album even though it's the best prog band).

I also wanted one, there

...

Needs Rush in there too

>I also wanted one, there is only this thing in the wiki
Fixed.

Give me one for sun ra I have about 30 of his albums I'm trying to go through but I don't know what to listen to

I second this

Bump

Wish I had a better quality version of this but hey, what can you expect from a hand drawn chart?

haha that's funny but completely unhelpful

here's a pretty good shoegaze chart

postpunk,nowave,synthstuff,etc

weird folk essentials

Anyone have one for Japanese shoegaze?

I appreciate that this chart has "holes" in it that drop into other genres.

I just think most charts should include these. If you think your preferred style of music isn't tangential to other identified styles, you are probably kidding yourself.

Already has two of my favorites, but there's lots to explore here. Thanks, user!

Posting one of mine in return.

Disappointed to see there's no Twin Sister Moon on this one.

>SUN BAT HER
>"The Logical Conclusion to Music"
10/10, actually a brilliant chart. Would've love to see Dorena included in Crescedocore.

out of curiosity, which two are your favorites?

sorry got distracted. back to the dump

/r/ing any folk/dylan charts

my personal fav

>Only have listened to King Crimson
>It's apparently the 'weirdest' band mentioned in this chart
This just makes me feel like prog rock isn't for me.

...

do you have the one that was for a certain more recent jazz record label? wasnt ECM

Post the updated massive one.

...

awesome, but my god is that wheel hard to follow

Mass of the Fermenting Dregs features heavily into my morning mix when I head into the city.

Coincidentally, both Mushroom Empire and Tokyo Shoegazer are on my evening mixes, but usually for when I stay in town.

what king crimson did you listen to they shift sound like crazy.

pic semi related

>There is no offshoot for Sigur Ros' AB WITH crescendos

C R Y I N G

Who the fuck would want to get into a band called Dream Theater?

sorry only this one. maybe someone else has it this was posted a few days ago

...

yeah ive been looking for it for a long time, guess ill post something similar

isn't the point that it already has crescendos?

It's a great chart, but an update could be justified.

Hey, were you one of the tripfags who watched movies with other tripfags back in winter of '13?

I've actually used this chart and enjoyed it, but if I had never listened to math rock before that, I would've given up at Spiderland. Only the Capn Jazz and Don Cab branches appeal to me.

This chart would be more helpful to beginners if it just started with one of those, and had Slint as another offshoot.
