Focused too much time on the concepts (which are pretty cool, imo) and too little of it on the actual music

someone set up us the bomb

upscaled image + aggressive jpeg artifacts.

Literally one of the most overrated musicians of all times.

Tried too hard to sound abstract and just made a goofy-ass pretentious pile of shit. Basically what happened to Madonna.

I wish I never heard this album. I'm scared to listen to vulnicura. No way she can drop two albums in row right?

>all times
;)

>two albums in a row
You actually prefer Volta over Biophilia?

Vulnicura is great, don't worry.

I enjoyed Volta. It's toward the bottom of my list of actually enjoyable albums.

Post
Debut
Homegenic = Vespertine
Volta
Medulla

POWER GAP

Biophilia

I just listened to the first two tracks, and I'm loving it. So to answer your question, she made a good album

And a bit of a midlife crisis.

What are you talking about? Madonna has been making radio-friendly dance pop for the last 15 years. When has she ever tried to sound abstract?
Biophilia is full of bizarre time signatures and unconventional songs. How you can even compare the two is beyond me

Uhh, she realize Volta was a mistake and went back to being creative? Biophilia is pretty good

We get signal.

TAKING LONG WALKS IN THE RIGHT NO

I wish I had Bjork's fashion sense.

>Debut+Post+Vulnicura
>Better than Vespertine
Sure, Grimes ;)

that is kinda weird. Debut does have some weak songs. around the middle I usually skip to Come to Me.

HOW ARE YOU GENTLEMAN

Biophilia is better than Post and Medulla

>Debut+Post+Vulnicura
>Better than Vespertine
>Sure, Grimes ;)
Yes. And fyi, Halfaxa is a much deeper album than Vespertine. The latter is basically about sex.

I agree

Biophilia is absolutely amazing

Through Biophilia she has become a visual, multimedial and also disciplinary artist. The record itself it's minimalist and dark, with some gorgeous emotional depths, but I’ve understood that judging this concept album only for its music it's an incomplete critique. This is an extraordinary piece of art, perhaps more a modern opera, where Björk and drummer Manu Delago are at their virtuosic best. Biophilia is not just music, it is made by a dazzling audiovisual spectacle that benefits from the full cinematic treatment. And all this combined with her music and her voice is a magical experience. It's a conceptual project with emphasis on live multimedia installations, scientific and naturalist thematics, based on the interaction between man and technology. Each song of the record corresponds to a specific application for iPad, designed by her, which is able to change music according to whether or not the meaning / criterion of the song itself. These apps are made by structures which adapt every time for a new form made personally. An intelligent and creative way of bringing out the first world app-album ever released (which got now a place into MoMA).

In the song Thunderbolt she used a Tesla Coil in order to work as a tool in the background, which creates notes and lightning at the time; during live you can see it on the stage. In this project were used original special instruments, such as the Hang, the Sharpsichord, the Gameleste, the Gravity Harp, all invented on purpose for this occasion (except the hang). However, the album is enigmatic but at the same time her most minimalistic one, but I reiterate that Biophilia is a totally different experience if connected to its intense live performance.
