I disagree.

undoubtedly, disco was the normies and punk was the weirdo outcasts

there was a lot of experimental weird disco stuff in the underground

Disco>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Literally everything

>2016
>still judging music by its fanbase

Regular Funk is better though

for some reason i really like disco but dislike funk and soul.

Post some disco recs

like what?

black devil - disco club (1978)

Is disco still considered dead? I'm surprised it was so hated in the 70s. Everyone loves it nowadays. Disco is THE music of the 1970s. I wish I could go to a disco.

it never died

Met a bunch of 40 year olds at a show a couple of weeks ago who used to skate and listen to punk. They are turbo normies now and they were super nice.

Disco? Over punk? Thanks for the laugh

>claims to know punk

Seriously the New York punk/no wave scene produced Lizzy Mercier Descloux, James Chance, Nina Hagen, and Yoko Ono also released a single in 76 that was basically the first new wave song.
Lots of regular underground disco is also great.

It was hated because it was a genre from niggers, fags, and girls

Not really a problem anymore now that you have to be gay, black, or female for the mainstream to care about you

How about disco-punk?

ok faggot

The early punks loved soul, disco, and reggae

Industrial > all

proto ambient was better than early industrial
