How do you guys feel about this album?

How do you guys feel about this album?

I like it but I never listen to it completely

whenever i smoke in my car and am very contemplative of what to listen to i always resort to this followed by my favorite tracks off lonerism

DUDE

their best desu

What Beatles album does it sound the most like?

haha same

Track one helped me deal with my oneitis a lot.

could you talk about things in the track you liked instead of 'feels'? i would like to discuss this album, it's one of my favorites

A great album for a sunny day

this

I've only listened to Currents, Ill give it a try

This

And then Lonerism is music to walk home to, especially the songs after mind mischief

it's one of my favourites of all time. i love the drum sound, guitarsound and the way kevin parker sings without using so much falsetto and sounding more like a mixture of lennon and mccartney

same for me lmao

I don't know how you can really discuss a tame impala album without feelings, especially Innerspeaker. Yes from the first time that guitar fires up I expected to hear a great song, but after hearing that first lyric which is just "I wanted her" in that hazy, echoed tone with all the effects I'll be honest, a lot of the music in that song plays second to the lyrics for me and perfectly captures how it felt.

It's one of my favorite songs ever. And yes the music is brilliant on it. He's just such an ear for sounds, even when everything is piling up one on top of another like in Desire Be Desire Go he knows just when to pull back and when to reintroduce.

I'd say the only song where I don't really ever pay attention to the lyrics on it is Expectation, because the repetitiveness of them just has me zone out to the music. Always a good moment on that album.

I love all his albums but I won't be mad if he returns to this earlier sound again.

mystery tour/yellow submarine

Are there any lyrics that you do enjoy from the album? Which do you prefer more: the spacey echoey reverb delay, or the hard rocking fuzzed out noise tone?

he sounds like george harrison during some songs, too

Sorry, I don't shop at Urban Outfitters.

I feel like in the future kids will be doing drugs to this album like they did to dark side of the moon in the 70s

I enjoy all of the lyrics on the album, particularly the ones on It isn't meant to be, Desire Be, Alter Ego and Solitude is Bliss. Probably the echoey more spaced out ones, but I'll put on Runway or Expectation when I just want to hear the music more.

i like how on expectation he tunes the ryhmn guitar to sound like a sitar for that authentic 1960s sound, he doesnt actually use a sitar just electric guitar

Stuck on thinking that there is always something to lose or a hint from aaaaabbboovvveee

I love that line. It's very esoteric or very spiritual almost religious Buddhist

WELL IT'S TRUE, YES BUT YOU WON'T GET FAR TELLING ME THAT YOU AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I fucking love that song

All you're meant to be

Kevin Parker and Lennon had the same issue with their nasal passage or something. That's why they sound similar.

It's their best album.

This song reminds me of tomorrow never knows the way he stretches out the words

listen to raga rock
