Fugazi may be the best punk band, the only band that comes close is Dead Kennedys.

Gentle Giant

Fugazi are No Fun Allowed: The Band

...

weezer definitely falls into this

I think that's too generous.

(link unrelated to post)

This is probably the most common misconception about Fugazi. Go listen to their live banter, they're funny dudes.

...

I loved their 2013 release desu.

This

Fuck you
t. Every Weezer fan

No.

808s
Graduation
Cruel Summer
Late Registration
Yeezus
TLOP

All 6 and 7s(yeezus a 5)

i cant even imagine having taste as shit as yours lol

Yes, until TLOP came out.

TLOP is exactly an 8 desu

HAH.

It's a 6.5 at best.

well I disagree

Iceage t b h

People will probably disagree tho

people on Sup Forums underestimate iceage, they're one of the very few buzzbands hyped today that are actually good

They've released a few 7s in their career, but nothing below that.

I see them, well, Elias in particular as a some kind of Nick Cave of this time not in a lyrical or poetic way though. As a musician.

thiz

Agreed

...

yall need help

Their first records with that guy Conway are pretty shitty.

>Disliking Kanye
you're the crazy one

>it's not post-post-post-post-post-post-ironic enough for me :(((

Honestly, the highest I would rate any Kanye release is an 8. Most are 7s

...

Anybody here ever watch Six Feet Under? Kevin Shields looks exactly like a character from it, Russell.

bunch of 7s with some 8s
their mini albums aren't good
a bunch of 7s after barlow left
lel
yes
yes, but has the advantage of a small discography

Nick Drake
Cap n' Jazz
Cannibal Ox

>forgetting kanye is about the level most people on Sup Forums delve into music
>mainstream comfy radio rock
>but he releases albums we can clutch toooooooooooo

Opeth

...

Blackwater Park, Damnation and MAYH are the only ones above 8.

...

...

Damnation and everything after is below 8

imo

KBtFU is a 6/10. Shame, if it wasn't for that you would have been 100% right.
agree, good stuff

Came here to post this.

Though not 'underrated' per say, I think Pavement is underexposed or under appreciated in a way, IMO they should be held in regard as one of the great classic rock bands

>Damnation below 8
wew

maybe?
ive only listened to one of their albums and its a 8.5/10

...

Do they plan on making another one anytime soon though?

...

Easy

...

ye
>This includes Sounds Of Ceres, NFI was great too

The who, if you exclude Endless Wire.

Face Dances and It's Hard are both objectively 7 at most

Beatles

I agree on this. Even the Yellow Submarine soundtrack is over 8 purely because the 4 new tracks on the A-side are one of the finest collections of songs they ever put together.

My nigga.

m8

...

uhhhhh i can explain

Is that 21 pilots? Lel

you know, for as insanely popular as the beatles are, they never get talked about on here. I figured Sup Forums hated them because they're 'the' band everyone likes

Get out

What u aren't apart of the click? *le 21 pilots begins playing* *le jams out*

ehhhhhhhhhhh.... nah

I'll "le" 21 pilot my foot up "ur" arse mate

I could see icky thump or get behind me satan or maybe their s/t debut being a 7/10 or something but imo they're at least 8s

you're retarded

...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Discounting Squeeze I assume

THIS

Oh shit, I always forget about Squeeze. Squeeze can be discounted because it isn't really a true Velvet Underground record with no Lou Reed.

>cap'n jazz
literally one album and a compilation that includes that album

All good answers

...

loool
nation of ulysses is way better and they arent even the best punk band

until he made an album, i agree

When will people realize late registration is his best

well that's normal considering he rips Nick off in every of his projects lmao

they are overrated af everywhere, especially on mu so idk what you talk about with underestimate... they are another buzzband more

Ian MacKaye comes off as annoying and preachy, but the other members seem fun enough.

Fugazi are probably the most consistent band I can thing of, but Steady Diet never did much for me, save for a couple of tracks.

came here to say this

Is it weird to have a crush on Guy Picciotto, monobrow and all?

no
youtube.com/watch?v=Eej-dHJadT4

Love QOTSA, but Lullabies is a weak 7

youre pretty delusional

Except for GovtPlates (even if some individuals consider it their best)
oh and their instrumentals don't count ofc

...

Squeeze still counts and most of their pre-Squeeze albums are good 7/10s anyway.

I love Gentle Giant to death but Giant for a Day is an actual 1/10 album, probably the worst drop in quality for any prog band approaching the 80s.

Sir Mix-a-Lot

Nation of Ulysses sucks. They sound the same as all the other 80s hardcore.

He's a handsome bloke, just look at him

that's retarded

2 albums, one in the 70's and another within the last 5 years, both 10/10

This. Though I'm not a fan of punk in general I really like Fugazi and DK.

>TLOP, 808, Yeezus are good.
TLOP has a few good tracks and everything else is trash.
808, come on nigga
Yeezus - Babby's first experimental hiphop. Come on, famalam. This shit is headshakingly bad at points, and not just from a lyrical standpoint.

absolutely acceptable
haven't listened to everything, I've got like one project. But I'd say yes so far.
SUNLIGHT OVER ME NO MATTER WHERE I GO. Absolute yes.
Got a project or two left, but I'm gonna jump to conlusion and say this is true.
sure

Damn, he's pretty.
I have one of their albums, and quite enjoyed it, going to check out more now based on how qt he looks.

It's a shame Ian's bald, just for the potential "Bert and Ernie of punk" jokes
