I'm adding new tracks in the near future and a few tracks I left off. I'm quite excited that I've managed to tap back into the original groove of the album to make more like it.

I like it, it's a really interesting sound. But I think it kind of gets a little repetitive though.

As depressing as I imagined it would sound, which is good for this type of genre. I like the leads you add on "Buff". I think my favorite was "Goldfish/Smoke" since it broke away from the typical slowcore/folk formula with the synths, the chimes, and the interesting chord progression. I think if you diversify more like that with structures, you'd be onto something special. Overall great. Definitely DL'd.
This was nice, definitely hear the Canadian sound coming through. Reminded me of Wowee Zowee but without it being completely meandering and terrible. Keep it up, I'd love to see how you guys go more all out "weird" with song arrangements. Getting a Pavement vibe in the choice of chords. I liked "Tango" with that really beautiful guitar break out of nowhere. Slide guitar was lovely.
This was a fun throwback, reminded me of a more laid back Soundgarden/Green River instrumentally, with like a Mark E. Smith-esque vibe from the vocals. if you guys were not in Germany and in California, I'd play a gig with you guys. Love this type of shit.
I like this, but I don't think i can hear half of the low frequencies you are using. I like minimalism in this type of music, it isn't like cheesy dark, it is an interesting and numbing sound.
My stuff:
howscandinavian.bandcamp.com
>art rock, post-punk influenced, dream pop and noise rock elements, but in a straightforward pop song structure (kinda)
If you like it, please give me a like on the ol' FB, follow on SoundCloud, etc.
I think it sounds very unique. I like how it progresses through the album with the same two sounds but used differently. Are they used to represent two characters in a story?
>larikin
Thank you very much, we wan't to record a album soon. Unfortunately gigs are pretty rare here. I bet in california are a lot of nice clubs and bars for making music.
Your music reminds me a bit to the hives with post-punk influences. I like the grungy vocals sometimes and the good production.
Haha, there are, but it is rather competitive and artists (mainly LA ones) can be real assholes. Anyways, I'll be following you guys through FB to check your album out when it happens. Thanks for the kind words!

Description:
"Welcome to Hotel Songs. Please, enjoy your stay. I have been delivered to relay information and guidelines pertaining to your album listening experience. Hotel Songs is not to be listened to loudly, or on headphones. It is instead recommended that you find a small, clean, and well lit room in which to take residence, and a set of speakers through which to play your copy of Hotel Songs. Enjoy the album at low volumes, and let your mind wander. Are you ready? Well then, let us commence Hotel Songs.
I'll see you three nights from now."
- Eric Taxxon
As we stumble into the charade of luxury that often comes with a hotel, we often find ourselves resting well in an odd state of ambiguity and vagueness. In his second effort for Jacob And Friends, Eric Taxxon brings an album that displays that faux luxury that often we absolve ourselves into, all viewed through a lens of lush and repetitive minimal techno, intending on delivering a cozy experience to the listener.
Now available for stream and download!
Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And give Eric some love. Thank You. :)
Will still be accepting submissions for the label.

I just released my first EP today. Thoughts?

yo this is really damn good. i'm broke right now, but how long do you plan to have that handmade CD/cassette thing up? I'd for sure buy both of them
assuming you were involved in the making of this of course lol
Thank you, it makes me happy when people like our stuff :) And we'll have those up for awhile. I'm making more tapes right now actually, just got some more blanks. We've got a few CDs left, but when we sell out of those, I'll just make more! Take a free download quick though cus we're gonna run out of our monthly downloads really soon (we've got 3 left)
and yeah lol, I played the keyboards, guitar (not all, we have another guitar player as well) and all the vocals. I also recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced it all myself too. I'm really happy with how it turned out

I forgot to add this: We went on tour recently in support of this album with barlow* and on one of those days before a show in Elyria, OH we stopped at WCSB Cleveland alternative radio and we each played a set for the radio. Here's the recording of that live set, if you wanna check that out too. Bare in mind the vocals could not be heard while playing so they dont sound the best. soundcloud.com
