I think you have pretty good taste, but the Donna Summer, Stevie Nicks, Cher, and country music makes me think you're a woman in her late 30s from Tennessee. Haha Perhaps you were just influenced heavily by your mom?

I'm glad you put some country albums on your chart, though - it's not as appreciated around here, but it's not bad. I'm a sucker for 80s-90s country.

This is a chart of some of my favorite albums - definitely not all of them and not in any sort of order. I highly recommend everybody on this board listens to the first album in the chart, Spilt Milk by Jellyfish.

I went pretty hard on Frank Ocean this week

Pretty bad taste overall but a few gems

Nice. Which Beach Boys album and which D'Angelo album do you prefer?

oh yeah a large amount of my taste is definitely that of a woman in her 30s or 40s
wasn't influenced by my mother though it's just what I found myself liking
do you like scott walker at all

I think I'm the only person that hasn't listened to Frank Ocean's new album. What's your favorite track from it so far?

I prefer Pet Sounds to Smile - but only because there's still an unfinished quality to Smile. Now - if the Brian Wilson Presents Smile album had Beach Boys voices and the session musicians from the 60s - I'd prefer it over Pet Sounds (if that makes any sense). I saw Brian Wilson live this past December and it was absolutely stellar.

I prefer Black Messiah to Voodoo, but I can't really pinpoint the reason why. It might have something to do with the musicians on the album - like Chris Dave and Isaiah Sharkey (who weren't present on Voodoo). He really put together an allstar group for that album.

Ivy, Nights or Seigfried. I really can't pick one right now.

Have you heard the stereo mix of SMiLE with the BWPS tracklist? That's the one I listen to and it feels pretty complete to me. I don't know which one I prefer though still

I prefer Black Messiah, too. It's one of, if not my favorite albums of the decade.

ay

You have very good but still unique taste, 10/10 would befriend

Try Sad World - Sad World

Did you have a stroke or something? Sad World - Sad World doesn't return anything

Alrighty heh, it's really pretty and captivating ambient
I

I don't recognize anything other than Bill Evans. What is the common theme here?

Are the ones with the interesting covers also hip hop?

The band that last impressed me in the same way Spiderland did was Afrirampo. Maybe you'll like them.

Jeff Beck.

Are you also hyped for the new Utada Hikaru album?

what are the interesting covers
the only rap albums on there are outkast goodie mob & gucci

nice beach boys

+low, spiderland, laughing stock

coltrane and herbie are good
the bottom two rows in general really are good

Morning guys
Good stuff, favorite E6 release?

The bottom two rows are my least japanese rows. What gives?
also
>Ted Nugent

The Jeff Beck Live at Ronnie Scott's album/dvd is one of my favorite things ever. I love all the jazz that you have in your chart - especially Herbie, Sonny Rollins, and Al Di Meola. You should check out Stanley Turrentine. My favorite track of his is Jubilee Shout from the album of the same name.

+Prince, Jellyfish, Beach Men

been listening to blonde all day since it came out desu

+Bjork, Aco, Gybe, Midori
try Syoko's Turbulence, it's pretty chill.

Syoko of G-Schmitt? I forgot I liked them. Thanks for the rec.
Maybe you'd like Apres-Midi by Testpattern, produced by YMO.

I'm saving your chart. If I haven't heard those I don't know what jazz you haven't heard, but if you like Lamp I can recommend ゲスの極み乙女。

If you haven't heard Thelonious Monk's Brilliant Corners I'd get on it.

You guys ready for fall

guilty as charged

Posted link without picture. Here it is.

loving that classic hc haven't listened to crossed out in a minute

do you like in my eyes or kid dynamite?

Never even heard of them. I should check them out.

This is the only shit I've been able to listen to lately, I haven't been on the boards in a while, is there any good R&B releases that I've missed this year?

kid dynamite is a bit more poppy, but in my eyes is total classic youth crew revival stuff, basically spearheaded the movement so I think you'll dig them and they're pretty important

oh you'll also want to try turning point if you haven't too they're killer

idk but I've been listening to some classic stuff if you want some recs there

the only patrishun shit on your chart is maybe SoTL and that's it lmao (yeah not even those hip anthologies, bitch)

Have you tried slsk?
Also what's your favorite of his? Mine is Good News From Africa
I've heard of none of those i'm not too far into jazz desu
bill evans was great, i loved the interplay of the instruments and it was very pleasant all the way through
Toussaint is great, a kinda psychedelic funky r&b thing from the 70s. I think the meters were the backing band. Every song is really solid and the whole album is very nice
oh wow lol

Yeah no luck on slsk either.

My fave is Underground in Africa by far. Good News is top too, anyways.

ohhh they're uh cutesy pop punk a la bananas not jazz lol
