You could use psychedelic but that implies drug use as well. It's a shame that a certain sound has to relate to drug use, implying that it is meant to be listened to while under the influence.
I don't really have anything against drugs but words like psychedelic and trippy are just so embarrassing. Maybe it is just a personal distaste?
