The speaker on the left is fucking up, just buzzing with the record rather than playing it, I've been messing with the wires but I can't figure out what's wrong
one last time

Sorry it's shit. I live in a really tiny and cramped room so I did the best I could. I'm also a broke loser and can't afford much in the way of vinyl so I mostly just play digital through the aux chord. Also the picture's reversed because I took it with my webcam.

Anyone have any reciever recs for less than $300? And/or a pair of speakers for $200 or less?

spend 500 on speakers, and save up again for an amp/

this cannot be stressed enough, 1/5 minimum or amp to speaker spending

its not hard for an amp to be quiet. but good speakers are good speakers, the more you spend generally the better your shit will be.

imo, i would spend 500 or more if I could on speakers (uesd) locally. then buy something like this

the lp120, and most of the
>super oem
turntables should have the coax out.

if not, go for one of the smsl amps with a behringer turntable pre.

might be the cartridge

>asks for speakers under 200
>tells him to buy 500 dollar speakers
I'll spend 2000 on a new sound system when I'm 30

>budget 500
>told how to spend that 500
>argue

you sure you are going to make it to 30? your comprehension seems to be pretty low

No, I said I had a $200 speaker budget, and 300 to spend on a reciever

and you are being told you are wrong in your thought process, you system will sound like dogshit and negate any point in buying vinyl in the first place.

And I'm telling you you're retarded for trying to act like you know what I want

I'm already dealing with second hand ones that were less than 200 to begin with

alrite, enjoy your junk system that will sound as bad as these ones here

>4" drivers
>30" apart
>1997 sony bottom of the shelf receiver

and you faggots wonder why no one takes vinyl seriously

Considering mine is the op, you are why no one wants to enter vinyl seriously
>you have to spend a lot of money to join this hobby

>your setup is shite unless you spend X amount of money!!!

Come on m8, he/she can get great used equipment with their budget. You can get speakers that were worth $500 from decades ago for

>cannot seperate buying entry level gear from garbage

no faggot, you literally are not getting the point behind vinyl and having it over digital. with speakers not able to play the full spectrum of sound, or even close for that matter, not seperating them enough to get actual imaging. and not having an amp that will play with proper stereo seperation and dynamics, there is nearly no point in having a vinyl setup.

you have literally made this thread because you bought into a meme, and fell far short of being into vinyl in its true form.

this is not a matter of
>spending a lot of money

its a matter of having enough money to enjoy the hobby properly, or not taking part in it at all.

im not disagreeing with that, my point was that you shouldnt be spending 60% of your budget on an amp, and 40% on speakers. you should spend 20% on an amp an 80% on speakers.

but i know, being millenials and all you faggots have to argue when anyone responds to your request for advice.

And you gave your thoughts that I have to spend an amount of money I don't want to rn. You can leave if you want now, hopefully someone will actually help me

I want a reciever, not an amp you retard

A receiver is an amp with a radio tuner, not much difference.

Except about 150 dollars and the ability to have more than 2 speakers and 1 input in it.

I'm too lazy to take a new picture since its all in a new room but its the same shit

Nice lps, what's your highlights/favorites

I should definitely make a 3x3 of my absolute favorites. I made a 2x2 for a math rocky theme a long time ago and aside from depreciation guild those three are some of my top

Aside from that I have a ton of records I picked up just because I thought they looked interesting that turned out to be amazing

My absolute favorites are:

original press SILY
all of my flaming lips stuff
bunch of nice jazz records

When I update my discogs I'll add that to my posts I guess

Looks interesting.
I'm glad I'm in a city with a real record store now, I should be able to pick up some better stuff than the 15 mainstream albums I've got rn.

100% the way to go. The best record stores stock a lot of interesting stuff instead of just well known stuff, especially if they can actually genre it as well

My favorite record store I've been to is Reckless in Chicago. Sometimes they put little blurbs on albums describing what it's like. Really nice touch. Picked up some great stuff there

Cool, I'm in Georgia so my local one is Wuxtry, which a lot of places say is one of the best stores in the south east.

Bump

take your speakers off the floor goddammit
