It was pretty terrifying when I first heard it, now I can listen to it casually
This isn't terrifying, it's catchy.
Throbbing Gristle has some tracks that genuinely unnerve me.

It's not even the disturbing story told in the lyrics, there's something really off about all the sounds in this track.
Blackjack by Death Grips is the only song by them I actually think is genuinely scary, whenever that god awful voice says "Blackjack" I nearly get chills
The X files intro
as much as it is memed I actually do think it is kinda creepy
that song really doesn't scare me for some reason,a side from Alan Vega's screaming about halfway through. The whole thing seems more surreal/fucked up to me than anything else, like an episode of courage the cowardly dog in music form
Bump
When I was a young boy, Stairway To Heaven backwards would scare the fuck outta me
Nowadays, not much when it comes to music. Lots of unsettling audio, though
Definitely this, also "Weeping" is pretty 'out there' not as spooky though, has a more melancholy feel to it

this post might just be my chance to ask if any of you guys know this very creepy music. It's basically some classical music with a bunch of screaming noises in the background
help is very much appreciated
can't find a youtube link, but Soundtracks for the Blind is legit unnerving at a lot of points. particularly the end sample for I Was a Prisoner in Your Skull
"Kim" by Eminem freaked me out a lot as a kid
unironically Marilyn Manson

Mother of God!
This spooked me the first time I've heard it.
I've never found scream-y music like this to be particularly frightening, honestly; it's more irritating. Too blunt.
The only time it's really scared me is this piece.

Epilogue, which is the closer to Skinny Puppy's album Cleanse Fold and Manipulate. Nobody really brings it up because it's quieter than the other songs on the album, but turning it up loud, it's a little unsettling if you're not familiar with it

>Blackjack by Death Grips
i imagine if old Nancy Reagan had heard this she'd have been spooked to the grave
This album overall is pretty scary.
It's like the mind of an insane man who thinks his distorted fantasies of killing and raping are funny and cool and refuses to recognize that society considers him to be a creep.
It's also pretty shitty, the band has way better releases.
haus arafna
childhood classic
i don't know why the death grips post was replied to, it wasn't intentional

Odd bit of trivia about that song: Springsteen really likes it, and says it was a big influence on 'Nebraska.'
Pretty pleb, but when I was 16 Climbing Up the Walls had me sweating
Climbing Up The Walls

Walking home alone at night to this is creepy
Some of Aphex Twin's stuff used to scare me, but I think the videos intensified it.

Not sure if I'd put this under terrifying, but it'll wake you up

i believe it, ive always heard a certain similarity between some of the songs on Nebraska and Suicide. Especially Highway Patrol, or whatever that song was called. Worst part is, my name is actually Frank, so both of those songs really freaked me out when I first heard them.
Nigga that song bangs
ohh let's hear it for frankie

Revolution #9 freaks me out. Don't know why, just makes me uneasy.
This is some good shit
Also this through loud stereo speakers

This will jump out at you a bit, get kinda groovy, then just a bit paranoid
The beginning of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
fucking same user.
Pretty much all of The Drift by Scott Walker
Geogaddi, especially the songs about Baphomet
Birth Canal Blues is one of the best C93 releases. Highly recommend it
Such a great movie
That's not an odd bit of trivia, that's common knowledge (or at least it should be).
I know C Town but it has a disturbing vibe that irks me a bit
yeah guys i definitely recommened listening to this on speakers with some family members/friends in the room
this is actually pretty good

wait for it
That turned me on more than anything else

This fucked me up so hard when I first listened. It was a cold night and was raining all day, thundering into the night. I couldn't sleep because of the wind and thunder, so I got on youtube and saw this recommended. I just sat in my room, alone in my new house, in the dark and listened. I swear to god I started hallucinating.
Now it's one of my favorite albums and I can listen to it casually at nearly any time. Sometimes I forget how creepy it is the first time you hear it and my friends look at me like a crazy person.
Friend I think you might have schizophrenia
There are songs about Baphoment on Geogaddi?
Fuck, I always thought that it was just a relaxing, if a little dark sounding, ambient album.
I've only listened to it digitally though, does the physical version of the album come with some background on the tracks? Because if so, I need to pick a copy up.
...
I think Weeping is really pretty actually
Seriously, if you think that a song on its one was making you hallucinate you're probably disenfranchised with reality
Drugs can kinda fuck things up as far as that goes. Are you sure you weren't doing any drugs at the time?
I'd driven to my new house alone for like 10 hours and I didn't really sleep the night before. I was exhausted and would have fallen asleep instantly if the storm wasn't keeping my up. I just sat in a pitch black room, sleep deprived, listening to spoopy music f a m.
I was up for like 22 hours after traveling all day and all the day before. I was just exhausted desu. I haven't had another experience even close to that. That might be the reason the scenario stands out to me.
