Why does it matter? Whether you want to listen to rock or rap there are literally millions of albums in both genres that you can listen to already. Does it really matter what the golden era is for either genre? You'll never run out of albums to listen to anyway.

I don't care if a rock record was released in the 60s or if it's the newest release out there, I only care if it's good. Likewise for rap.

I liked Lil Boat. It wasn't particularly awful and had a cute style to it, but I feel like most trap efforts put out these days are derivative and uninteresting.
