There aren't any, but some contenders are:
>Aesop
>Andre 3000
>Eminem
>Biggie
>Anyone from Wu-Tang
They're all good in their own right, but DOOM is king.
most WTC members are bad
ok
Which ones?
Lil Ugly Mane
I got a list, here's the order of my list that it's in;
It goes, Reggie, Jay-Z, Tupac and Biggie
Andre from Outkast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me
Doom is one of my favorite mcs of all time but his writing a bunch of clever non sequiturs in a row doesn't cou,t as great lyricism to me
>and then me
Andre 3000 is correct. Aesop is a possibility. Nas is wrong, but the lyricism on Illmatic is the GOAT
Common
What I like about DOOM and Wut-Tang clan is that they don't take hip-hop too seriously. It's fun.
He's good and one of my all time faves but not the greatest. His work lately has been extremely inconsistent.
90's Canibus
2000's Eminem
Inspectah Deck
Ghostface Killah
Andre 3000
Q-tip
Bone Thugs
Aesop Rock
Kendrick
AB Soul
Could all slay this guy
y'all forgetting one thing
immortal technique
ICP
death grips
is big boi underrated?
kek
>DOOM song
Hillary
No more fries for me
Brothers been trying to hide something from me
Dont go tellin me who has the right to be filling this turkey or frosting this cupcake
ITT post your DOOM pastiche
>Illmatic was Nas only good album meme
Your first album being your magnum opus truly sucks
Twenty One Pilots literally blow these kids all outta the water. Seriously, you guys are a bunch of fucking cucks. If you weren't too busy trying not to be racist because you think saying a white guy makes you so, then you are what is wrong with Sup Forums. This website is for 4channers to discuss music, not for unwelcome faggits to barge in and make it a fucking safespace.
Oh, and hip hop fags, 21 pilots actually make THEIR own music, rather than just sit there while some white producers makes their hits. Really makes you think, huh?
Forgot Hopsin, Lucas Vercetti, John Cena and Childish Gambino

Point to the part in which I said it's his only good album
i know its a joke, but the cena/trademark shit wasn't that bad. imo better than most of the 06-10 era radio vocoder shit.
really clever trolling
No, OP, there are not. Proof: m.youtube.com
Bad Bad Man track and ChainGang was fun. Smackdown vs Raw 2006 was my shit at 13..
Underrated opinion desu
its mediocre boombap hiphop, which i prefer to a lot of other hiphop, so i guess im biased
it really is. it's not even just the lyricism, the beats suck on his later stuff. I bought a box set of his that didnt have Illmatic on it (it only had It Was Written, I am and Stillmatic) to try and get into him and I thought he was terrible, only listening to Illmatic later did I appreciate Nas at all.
Did ya'll forget?
>Treat her like a daughter, taught her how to bust a nut
tf did he mean by this?
>no mention of kool g rap
you faggots dont know shit about lyricist
youtube.com
DOOM is pleb
Lil Yachty is patrician
Anyone with Lil in their name is not patrician.
Thissss
Common god tier
DOOM is probably the best lyracist desu. GZA is definetly up there, Liquid Swords is the pinnacle of hip hop. Id say Guru is pretty high in the lyracal game as well and lets not forget the goat Macklemore.
...
>found 1 post for 'del'
I'm in real, physical pain.
fuuck cant believe i forgot del.
also just to add some more
the deep puddle dynamics crew
stefan
danny brown
Biggie
Big Pun
Big L
Eminem
Mobb deep
Wu Tang
Rakim
people forgetting about the humble magnificent
false
>mobb deep

That shit is too old, feels like you went back to the 70's when you hear it
His first album came out in 89, dickcheese.
Your time line of rap is horribly skewed.
@peace
I know retard but its so dated it doesn't matter
Rakim, Big L, Kool G Rap
lol no
Common is pretentious and contrived as fuck
thank you
how?
Sit the fuck back down
Lupe Fiasco
Listen to Mural.
MAC DRE
CHAMILLIONAIRE
KOOL KEITH
No one's really come close to DOOM. May be a while until we get someone similar.
You must not listen to much rap/hip-hop.
Literally all of it sounds dated after a couple years because of the production and the ridiculous speed at which stylistic trends change.
>so dated it doesn't matter
Jesus christ, that is seriously the most painful phrase I've seen on Sup Forums ever.
You're like some weird inverse backpacker.
I'm shocked nobody has mentioned El-P. I listen to a lot of rap and hip-hop, and this guy writes possibly the most cohesive songs in the game.
Your just autistic and retarded
t. eminem fan
>Being this retarded
Kool Keith
This is what I never understood about dooms lyricism.
The song sucks, and the verses are not at all in congruence, but who cares, El-P blows everyone out of the water with minimal effort.
Someone even filled in the blanks of El-P's verse: genius.com
>90's Canibus
Don't you mean 90's to 10's Canibus
You literally said 'it's old therefore bad' you fucking garbage ass mongoloid
U God and cappadona
cappadonna is great, go listen to OB4CL.
'I love you like I love my dick size'
He fucking sucked on OB4CL
Some people don't like Aesop but his particular brand of hippitty hoppity really gets me
Every one but RZA stands out on their own except for maybe U God, RZA, and Cappadonna and even then they aren't too bad
earl sweater
this must be a joke
oh wow, one bad line. like nobody else in the clan has any of those.
>implying he didn't outshine everyone on the album with his verse in Winter Warz
KILLA
Nas and andre 3000 are pretty on par with doom i'd say
NASTY NAS IN YA AREA
Strongly disagree with you two, DOOM's lyricism is unmatched because the non-sequiturs are woven into cohesive, though distant and usually thematic messages. No other rapper uses this sort of quirky and unique methodology as effectively.
youtube.com
is this the death grips of our generation?
death grips is the slipknot of our generation.
This mother fucker right here.
Help me out Sup Forums. I recently listened to a couple of Doom's albums on youtube, but I'm hardly a fan of rap and while I'm interested I'm not sure how to get into it. what do?
leave
+1, Keith is up there with DOOM. His lyricism is obviously fucking nutty but the point still stands
I like pharoahe monche
youtube.com
GZA would be the closest contender
Same
Twista is really underrated on this board IMO.
Oh, I didn't know Jordan Peele from Key & Peele was a rapper
>no one mentioning digable planets
Sweatshirt
I hung a nigga from a tree to see if he was more man the monkey.
I hung the nigga james brown too, to see if he
still got funky.
I hate niggers.
Best Doom Verse ever
Definitely Aesop Rock
how to tell someone has no taste in hip hop in just five easy words
Nas
kendrick isnt goat, but he does have sweet bars
Capital STEEZ >>>>>>
Mobb Deep, Nas, Mos Def, and Kendrick are also really good lyricists.
>She said
>"What's your number?"
>I said "1-800-HELL-NO"
Fucking classic
It's really hard for me to say that he is the greatest of all time, due to his inconsistency.
I'll agree that late 90's and early 2000's Doom beats out every other MC ever (Also Born Like This was fucking amazing). I really can't name one other MC that comes close to amazing lyrics on Madvilliany or Vaudeville (Read the lyrics for Lickupon, that shit is so impressive)
But again, he has also made a lot of stuff which didn't really impress me that much.
I think i'll agree that Doom bascially is the best rap lyricist, but it's not a nobrainer...
