Dude, can you help me out? I'm trying to convince my friend of the appeal of NIN. What's your view?

>i have no idea what im doing -core

Garrett-core. I'm such a popfag

Why did you choose Drawing Restraint 9 I mean you got some great stuff there I just didn't care for Restraint 9, personally.

It's actually one of my favorite albums. Cetacea and Antartic Return are such beautiful songs and I just love the overall experimentalism of it. It creates a great atmosphere.

Alright that's cool, I'm not dissing. How much Bjork have you listened to??

nice aesthetic
you too

Sharks Keep Moving - s/t

All of her albums lol she's one of my favorite artists if not my favorite artists. I was going to put Biophilia but I decided I had enough of her on my chart lol

Man there's no such thing as too much Bjork. The more Bjork the better. I was tempted to put more of hers on mine.
(Mine is here: )

i think maybe ive already recced this to you at some point
but since it looks like you really like that Slint sound i'd check out cerberus shoal's self titled

judging by the hip hop at the bottom youd probably like Deep Puddle Dynamics
and just anticon in general

I've listened to Homb by Cerberus Shoal. Kinda liked it but the electronic parts sounded dated. Will check out their s/t.

DPD Is a pretty good album yeah, but I should definitely check out the anticon stuff. Thanks.

Sounds like something I'd be into! Cheers

i see you picked the best Dead Kennedys album, how familiar are you with other 80's hardcore?

not very.

TOPSTERS.NET-core

hmm check out MDC - Millions of Dead Cops, Reagan Youth - A Collection of Pop Classics, Poison Idea - Kings of Punk, Discharge - Why?, and GBH - City Baby Attacked by Rats

I also really recommend the compilation "Welcome to 1984" from Maximum Rock n Roll, it's a compilation they made to showcase hardcore around the globe. I discovered a bunch of great bands and local scenes from that comp

accidentally posted an in no particular order chart, here's the actual one i was supposed to post whoops

thank you,
will check these out!

OP here. tell him to pay attention to the layers and to learn about how it fits into the context of 80s 90s industrial music.

I'd love a good rec there are more albums that I just couldn't be bothered to put on there, I made a bigger one but lost it

I'm also a big M.I.a fan

do u like the fall

Never heard of them what do they sound like?

kinda a tough question to answer, they've been around since the 70's and have been changing their sound constantly. i asked that because courtney barnett in pedestrian at best really reminded me of the fall (if you can describe a general theme in their sound, it's hypnotically repetitive instrumentation + vocals flirting between ranting and singing)

youtube.com/watch?v=sk1TP5EkLS4 this is probably them at their catchiest

tekkacore
