Do you have "cultural festivals" near your city?

Do you have "cultural festivals" near your city?

The ones that celebrate the rural culture of your region so that people from the city can go there, sing, dance, buy regional food, dress up in traditional clothes and yell "muh heritage!"?

I do and I've been there this year, was fun.

Making a "culture" thread and not a bait one on Sup Forums.

What the fuck was I thinking.

post

yep we have a Serb fest in nearly every city in the USA

youtube.com/watch?v=y38BHdkkN2E

and in Serbian lands we have Vasari and Sabori, which are village and tribe festivals

youtube.com/watch?v=7no3nt3CbNo

No offence but this looks very watered down, more like a "watch someone dancing and drink" festival.

Sort of, we have tons of festivals dedicated to food and usually there are people there playing traditional music.

youtube.com/watch?v=7LZTSyjaaWE

pálinka festival
sausage festival
rose festival
wine festival
beer festival

festivals all year round
its about selling things overpriced

>dizynki
nobody cares about your subhuman culture, language and a bunch of whores dressed in shitty costumes you attebtion-seeking trash with an inferiority complex.

Sure it's overprices but some of it is top tier, you can't buy such good food in even the best of shops.

post food as well

thanks for the free bump

you can
festivals are for promotion and marketing

Well I never seen pickeled eel in a show desu or the strange local cheeses they got at the fairs.

The thing is if the festival is very local stuff that you cana buy there if often non obtainable outside of a few restaurants.

No such thing here.

we have a muh heritage festival where everyone celebrates their culture (like poles, russians, turks and nordics

Im just sorry Nazis didnt kill more of you kacap bastards than they did

but dont worry, what ever he missed the Turks and Arabs will add to the count.

If you could only see me how happy I get when I hear "terrorists" kill kacap scum

youtube.com/watch?v=AewPI6vOrrg

I bet ethnicities like Чyкчи have some.

Do they do anything besides watching? Is there traditional food, pottery, singing poems etc.?

yes they pretty much do what youve said. although theres no pottery or singing poems its more of replaced with traditional dances

No they don't. Chukchis don't even have agriculture. You can't cultivate anything in permafrost.

>poles and hohols being budies with muslims
Nothing new here.

i know belarus has dozhynki

i also know that they live in agricultural renaissance in general

What culture?

They play funny melodies with the use of their mouth and had slavery until mid XX century though.

>will make sure to piss and shit on the next kacap corpse I comes across on.

youtube.com/watch?v=eOjsIuNEXE4

Well it's not only dozynki, the picture is from local dożynki but the clip is from a "peasant fair".

yup
I go every year, but this one I'll dress up and dance ans a "Parachico", maybe as "Chuntae" just for the keks.

That's hilarious. Really

I just buy goofy hats and food.

tthats not hilarious

THIS

was fucking hilarious

bls don't murder my thread

youtu.be/wnd3IYH7x1o
You mean something like this?

Well, now we are in the slaughter of the pig time. We usually have some callos (guts, chickpeas and pigs/cows feet).

>No offence but this looks very watered down, more like a "watch someone dancing and drink" festival.
yeah thats how it is in the diaspora

ethnic dancing, food, drink, costumes

we have a Serb fest in Sydney too
youtube.com/watch?v=aF8h7ox4cSc

Im expecting good news of multiple bombs going off in moscow in retaliation an day now.

got a bottle of Lebanese wine in my closet saved up just for that occasion

Looks good, it's some kind of mix with tomatoes? Is it local or known in all of Spain because I'm more interested in local stuff.

Here's for example one of my local dishes - fraszynki.

>tomatoes

No, tomatoes aren't that spread in our regional cuisine.

I'd benis some of those girls, also - why is he spilling wine while pouring it into the cup, fuck.

And they always stuffed me with a tomato soup in Spain when I wanted Spanish food. Fuckers.

>I'd benis some of those girls
well of course we are the most beautiful people on the planet

>why is he spilling wine while pouring it into the cup

>aesthetics brah

Well it triggered me af.

My buddy makes wine and when we pour it into bottles we watch carefully so it dosn't spill.

we spill wine/brandy for alot of our customs

>on Kolach bread
>on ground for funeral
>on our Zito

also breaking glasses is a common custom in serbian taverns

>on ground for funeral
that's what gypsies do here as well, luckily there's only like 40k of them

I have two of them

Feast of Joan of Arc :
youtube.com/watch?v=qxGXnzk5VAk
youtube.com/watch?v=57MF1ExTPag

Feast of the Loire :
youtube.com/watch?v=uwbgYY20GIg
youtube.com/watch?v=ZzNOW1qF0Tw

gypsies are old indo-europeans tho so makes sense

nice, they aren't put on hold due to terrorists?

It's probably ran by a church.

>nice, they aren't put on hold due to terrorists?
Nope

Anyway there are so much military that if a terrorist was dumb enough to attack he would be instantly killed.

Here is the 2016 feast of Joan of Arc

Both are more of a city-like fairs, we got those here as well but I'm more interested in rural ones though because I visited quite a lot of countries and I've been mostly to the cities but never saw the "real" countryside.

Yes but fuck city people

Well

The only true rural pagan tier "muh heritage" that i can think of is the Saint John's Eve but it is practiced in all Europe and it is more like a living tradition than an a actual cultural heritage.

we have an italian heritage festival if that's what you mean

No such thing here. Maybe in Seoul. We have chicken and beer festival, which is not exactly cultural.
