Like everything European they're inferior to their American counterparts.

Films OP, Films.

intercourse is illegal in Britain

Very few of them are worth the effort
But those who are good are exceptionally good

A few examples: Astérix Mission Cléopatre, Banlieue 13, Taxi 4 (all French)
Die Welle, 4 Minuten (Germ)

rest is shit though.

i think i watched that movie

>Taxi
this one too
but after the fiasco of Astérix contre César and Astérix Au service de Sa Majesté i wasn't going to watch the other ones, sorry

>prude American janitor will delete this thread because sex triggers him

...

Cléopatre is the only one worth watching desu, mainly because of Alain Chabat's involvement. He's one of the few here who knows how to write funny comedy

it's an erotic fantasy she's having while being at the gyno
that last shot is the KY jelly on her belly before the echograph is put on her

There is Cloud Atlas. I don't know much more.

Generally shit

How come Astérix Mission Cléopatre was so fun, but the other Asterix movies were so shit?
I also liked RRRrrrr, it had similar humour

Oh my god that was the worst fucking movie I have ever seen.

The movies from Paul Verhoeven are good.

Pretty much all other Dutch movies are terrible.

you are probably just too simple minded to understand it

Usually interesting and unique, they're like art films but not artsy, not pretentious and not mostly meaningless; if that makes sense. The majority of Western media follows American (well the majority of Western media is American, I mean non-American Western), which is just cut-and-paste the same uninspired shit every time.

I honestly don't think I've ever watched a European movie, at least not for entertainment purposes. What's the point? American films just have way more funding and European actors all act over there anyway.

have a handful of master filmmakers, but still cannot compete with hollywood, even with all of their talent combined

There is plenty of good European films. They are actually kind of more experimental and creative than american films.

Italian Movies: Everything Fellini did, Italian Neo-Realism, Life is beautiful, etc...

French movies: Le trou, Elevator to the Hallows, Amelie and the 400 coups are the first ones that come to mind.

British Films: Most of Stanley Kubrick's films were made in the UK.

German Films: The life of the others comes to my mind, there is probably more.

Spanish Films: Berlanga and Buñuel shit is pretty cool. Almodovar is a gay liberal jew though. Fernando Fernan Gómez is quite amazing.

From the balkans and eastern europe i know Emir Kusturica's films. Underground is pretty good and the guy is super redpilled.

I agree except on horror. Euro-horror is superior to watered down American pop shit.

>Hollywood
Gee whiz, Superman is caught up in a shark tank, I wonder if he's going to make it, oh the suspence.

>European
Wait, the main protagonist just killed himself?

jesus christ this thread is filled with plens

I've seen that setup in porn. It always seems to be in Europe too. Why?

90% are better than every other movies.

is that carrie anne moss?

meh industries, all good talent move to hollywood

There's way more incest, rape, and ugly people.

So, a more accurate reflection of reality.

The Hunt, Downfall, and Lives of Other was pretty good.

I really liked Taxi.

Sorrentino is our best asset
>the state of Italian cinema

European cinema would be good if cinema in general wasn't so centralized to just hollywood. All the talent and the hype from the world goes to the US when it comes to movies.

Look at the 60s in Europe. Specifically the French New Wave. Great cinema.

Eastern Europe:
Good in general.

All other Europe:
Only good as comedy.

well it depends on the movie

Berlanga and Buñuel are the definition of Jewish liberalism desu

I like French comedies like Le dîner des cons or Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis. The British have very good actors too.

>American Comedy

Polish movies used to be good, than shit for like 20 years and now they're getting good once more which is a thing to be happy about.

They are all sad though, and "heavy" when it comes to emotional impact.

Nymphomaniac was shit and Von Trier is a hack.

superior of course

burger films suffer from simplistic burger culture

any recommendations?

WTF is that?
Cuck: The Movie?

...

2deep4u artsy shit

Danish movies are GOAT for a long time now.
