I like the pre ww2 german photos.

I can't show any Polish photos because the city was Polish until like ~ 1770 than German and after ww2 Polish again.

Sadly like 50% of the city center was craterized by russians.

Also Germans demolished some old Polish buildings pre ww2, like the 2nd town gate, some of the city walls, possibly the barbacan.

here is the west gate in Canterbury in 1897 according to google. It was built in 1380 and is England largest surviving medieval gateway. it's like properly in the middle of town so you pass it a fair bit
