I know Finnish is quite difficult, but is it really harder than Chinese? What does Sup Forums think?

Yeah finnish so incredibly hard that you need an IQ of 140 to even have the capacity to learn it

language learning is never really hard, it's just sometime ridiculously long.

This

>those quads
Omg dog it's true

Only speaking Chinese is easier than Finnish.
If you include reading and writing, Chinese becomes FINAL BOSS MODE.

what's this youtube channel

Writings hard but you can skip it
Reading isn't nearly as hard as with Japanese
And good luck learning to speak chinese without learning to read it lol

The only hard part about Chinese is that it's actually like 50 languages.

Nah mandarin is one language
A dumb american who tries to look smart with superficial "knowledge"

Dafuq? It's the other way around. Tones make Chinese hard to speak.

we're in the same language group and all
I'd like to think it would be easier for us because of that
I cannot roll my 'r' however and finns would make fun of me

Same language group, but different branches. I am at B1 with Estonian and I see no similarities in vocabulary. Only the genderless issue is relatable. .

Funny since I know more asian languages than you do.

Chink here, Mandarin only have 4 tones, while Cantonese have a bit more. But once you learn one Chinese language you'll learn the other one very easily. Think of Mandarin as Cantonese but coated in gel.

I'm learning Finnish and while my vocab and grammar is still at the very beginning, my study buddy loves my pronunciation.
I don't really know about Chinese, but I suspect tones and non-Roman writing is JUST.

My reply wouldn't be the same unless verbal

lol I've watched this guy for years, Chinese get so angry whenever he makes a fair and mostly objective video about something in China. Also that ain't his gf, that's his wife. Maybe you named that before they got married though.

Finnish is easy as fuck to learn since it's very orderly, there's just a lot to cover.

Icelandic is much harder to learn due to irregularities and such

可爱~

Now we know who Trump is going to send in to negotiate with the Chinese.
