Goddamn, I love this album. Also:
>Cause I know you're still worried I'm gonna get scared again and make my insides clean
>The kitchen bleach could've kissed enough bathroom sinks
>To make up for the lovers that never loved me
11/10 moments
LOOORANDO
Can't stand this guy's faggy voice.
>I'm sure there's someone who knows-WHERE HAVE YOU BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
>ITS ALL IN YOUR BACK YAAAAAAAARD YOU GOT THE WHOLE WORLD AT YOUR FEEEEET SAID THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER WHEN IT BURSTS UP FROM CONCRETE
Nah this sort of moment is 11/10 because it helps you see his line of thinking and understand who he is and how he writes to appreciate the rest of his music more. I think Car Seat Headrest is overly personal but mysterious in a way that makes it seem like he's making sorts of fan theories about who he is.
case in point: afterglow where he sings "I'm not responsible for what happens after this song/ why do you think mine are always so long?"
Hearing that after listening through a couple of his projects and wondering about all the different super long tracks and why he paces albums like that, it's odd to get a bit of a pointer from the artist himself mid-song.
If jazz is musician's music, Car Seat Headrest is songwriter's music
>WITH HIS OUTSTRETCHED?
>WITH HIS OUTSTRETCHED.
>Do you love me at all Michael?
