It's sad that the intro is the highlight of this album. I could listen to that song for many more years, but the rest of the album just bores me because I know of better emo records out there.

Also my 11/10 is the whole last verse after that part.

>IIIIIIIIIIN HEEEEEAVEN
>EVERYTHING IS FINE

Also a 10/10 moment in cinema

I GUESS THEY WOULD SAY WE COULD SET THIS WORLD ABLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZE

in the song I use the term “galvanistic”. Galvanism is the concept…the obsolete scientific theory that there was a kind of electricity flowing through our bloodstreams and that was our life force. I used the term because I came across it in Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’. And that book is sort of an exploration of the theme of creating a character, of making up a person. So I used the term “galvanistic” to allude to that book, as a sort of symbol of how I, like, created you as a character, and I’m pretending that I know a lot more about you than I actually do. And also to refer to the fact that I’ve fallen in love with the characters you’ve created in, uh, your body of work

You are right, that deserves a 1.1

if only i could understand a single word on that album i'd know what point you're talking about

>Run from the lights!
>Run from the night!
>Run for your life!
>I'm new in the city
>And down for the night
>Down for the night, down for the night
>I'm lost in the world!

>And no one will listen up until you become a hashtag or a meme...

Put on 7:54, that's the moment i am talking about.
youtube.com/watch?v=N-Dyaoq_oSA

ah okay

ya good moment. that album is full of them

ugh that line almost ruins that album for me

almost

why? It's an album about rebellion.

From Billy Not Really to the end of Have a sad cum BB. The sampling is flawless, Zach Hill is flawless and Stefan lyricsim and delivery is flawless throughout this part of the album. Some might argue with the sampling but it's acquired taste.

>FLICK OF MY WRIST OOH SHIT OOH AH OOH SHIT
>IMSOBLACKQUARTERBLACKTOALPTHISHALFBLAISE BADGE BLOW MY ORGANS FOR JUICE, bacially the whole intro is 12/!0
>MET YOU IN OUR NEXT FETUS ROMULUS AND REMUS
> DONT IT FELL GOOD TO DRIVE A BUS PEOPLE NEED TO GET PICKED UP, PRIDE YOUR UNIFORM AND STUND YOU DO WHAT MY PEOPLE WOULD GRUNT.
>WASTING TIME FEELS GOD WASTING TIME FEELS GOOD
> HAVE A SAD CUM BB
This is probably the point where music transcended in the 21st century.
The reason I didn't include Up my sleeves is because of the outro and I think Fuck me out, voila and big dipper are a step down compared but are still amazing.

>the entire title track
the rest fucking sucks, though

>JET BLACK, STARLIT
>*all the instruments start rushing back in*

>I WON'T END THIS HIIIIIGH
>NOT THIS TIIIME AGAIIIN
>SO LOOOOONG SO LOOOONG SO LONG

Jesus why pick the second cringiest lyric

First being

>drinking tall boys by the canal

American's need to fuck all calling cans of beer tall boys when they are not mini cringiest thing ever

TRAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPEDDDD
IN THE MOOOMEEEEEEENT YOU MEEEEEEETTTTT

>DOOONNN'T GET SENTIMEENNTALL

In Jugband Blues, after the noise abruptly stops and the quiet acoustic fades in and then Syd basically self diagnoses his schizophrenia

> YOU LIVE IN AN UNFORGIVING PLACE

>listening to "you breathe in you breathe out..." part for the first time while finishing smoking a joint as it hits me

i don't usually support the idea that weed makes all music better but it was surreal

>I WISH THE WEST TEXAS HIGHWAY
>WAS A MOBIUS STRIP

>look around you
>you're surrounded
>IT WON'T GET ANY BETTER

Goddamn, I love this album. Also:
>Cause I know you're still worried I'm gonna get scared again and make my insides clean
>The kitchen bleach could've kissed enough bathroom sinks
>To make up for the lovers that never loved me

LOOORANDO

Can't stand this guy's faggy voice.

>I'm sure there's someone who knows-WHERE HAVE YOU BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN

>ITS ALL IN YOUR BACK YAAAAAAAARD YOU GOT THE WHOLE WORLD AT YOUR FEEEEET SAID THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER WHEN IT BURSTS UP FROM CONCRETE

Nah this sort of moment is 11/10 because it helps you see his line of thinking and understand who he is and how he writes to appreciate the rest of his music more. I think Car Seat Headrest is overly personal but mysterious in a way that makes it seem like he's making sorts of fan theories about who he is.

case in point: afterglow where he sings "I'm not responsible for what happens after this song/ why do you think mine are always so long?"

Hearing that after listening through a couple of his projects and wondering about all the different super long tracks and why he paces albums like that, it's odd to get a bit of a pointer from the artist himself mid-song.

If jazz is musician's music, Car Seat Headrest is songwriter's music

>WITH HIS OUTSTRETCHED?
>WITH HIS OUTSTRETCHED.

>Do you love me at all Michael?

yes
