>Leia and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) apparently decided to hide the fact that Darth Vader is Ben’s grandfather from the little boy. Leia’s son was training under Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and the couple were concerned about him turning to the dark side, which made them keep the secret about his grandfather. It was only when a rival Senator revealed the fact; the shocking news reached Ben.
>Mary Sue wars (now featuring Nazi's) >Directed by a Jew (hey guys, Nazi's)
>shit
duh
Eli Green
>his true lineage is kept secret >trained in the force >confides in a senator Sound like anyone we know?
The pottery is palpable___
Isaiah Wright
George did the lineage pottery with luke
Disney is repeating a word, the hack musician's rhyme
Jayden Green
Nobody kept Anakin's lineage secret from him you dolt.
Ayden Cook
I was joking. It's actually kind of sad how Disney doesn't quite seem to understand what actually makes the parallels between the trilogies amazing.
They think making an identical storyline is the exact same thing as making a completely separate storyline that coincides at certain points and lines up with the first story.
Adam Hall
He was literally told he was space jesus. Then palpatine basically reveals to him that he was created by him and his master via the force.
Wanna try again?
Isaiah Young
>reveals to him that he was created by him and his master via the force.
>Anakin me and my master made you >Said Sheev never
fuck off, you moron
Sebastian Edwards
Yo momma fat
Carson Adams
>he could even use the midichlorians to create... life >anakin was conceived by the midichlorians
no u
Landon Murphy
Are you seriously so in love with these shitty movies you are trying to imply greater depth than there is?
How the fuck are the two things even connected?
Mason Taylor
If you honestly can't see how it works then you're actually retarded. It's the simplest concept in the world.
Lincoln Davis
If its so simple how come you can't explain it?
Alexander Cooper
So love has blinded you?
Zachary Butler
The parallels that Lucas made in the prequels to connect them to the ot are pure garbage though.
Colton Rodriguez
>sheev and his master try to create life with the force >probably some ultimate evil guy knowing how the sith work >it fails >anakin is created instead >sheev tries to manipulate anakin into being mr. evil guy >it works for a little while
When does Sheev say to Anakin "Hello Anakin, I'm actually a sith lord and me and my master (who I killed lol) created you with the force, suck my sith dick"
it never happens
Wyatt Green
He was 23 when he found out and betrayed Luke. So the theory of him leaving Rey at Jakku is dead. She's been in that planet already for 8 years or so.
I hope they don't fuck up her origins.
Jaxon Sanders
Top kek m8 so glad he can't ruin his own creation anymore
Jaxson Foster
I'm not making this up. Google it.
Of course not. What happened in the movie is what we call subtlety. There's deeper meaning hidden behind what was said through implications.
You'd think they would have told him about the man that killed Sheev. Now this retard is stuck worshiping Vader because he thinks he was irredeemably evil... although that motivation is quite possibly the absolute worst in villain history.
Ryan Reyes
>What happened in the movie is what we call subtlety.
>It didn't happen >but I think it did >so it happened and its subtle
I'm worried about you.
Anthony Williams
>first movie in a trilogy >reveals next to nothing about the backstories of any new character Quality writing
Eli Reyes
Literal fanfic
David Butler
In the novelization Snoke addresses that. Calls it Vader's moment of weakness.
>on a board about movies >can't into basic discussion of deeper meanings I'm worried about you.
Benjamin Gomez
It did. He's talking about the scene where Sheev is prattling on about a sith lord who "could even create life" or something. Since Anakin is a supposedly immaculate conception, it's heavily implied both Sheev and Plagueis or whatever created him using the force.
>novelisation Oh joy. In any case his motivation is still the dumbest I've ever seen in a villain. Even old Saturday morning cartoon villains have some base, tangible reason.
Levi Diaz
>halfway through shooting already >we still have to wait till december 2017
reee
Angel Williams
>Sheev is prattling on about a sith lord who "could even create life" or something. Since Anakin is a supposedly immaculate conception, it's heavily implied both Sheev and Plagueis or whatever created him using the force.
Yeah, I get that. When did Sheev actually tell Anakin "Ey nigga, I made you, call me daddy"
It simply does not happen.
Wyatt Gutierrez
STAW WAS JUNYUH HIGH, Y'ALL!
Charles Ortiz
> Qui Gon hypothesizes he's been conceived by the Force > A movie released six years later mentions somebody manipulating the Force to create life
Not even that guy, but can you seriously not grasp this? Or are you just feigning autism?
Chase Wilson
Oh I agree. There's almost no sense behind any of his motivation.
But yeah, Disney got smart and hid key pieces of information in different mediums so you'd have to buy more to know the full story.
>i can't understand implied events >i need everything spoonfed to me nice b8
Logan Fisher
I'm not sure I'll even watch it. Never thought I'd say that about a Star Wars movie. I definitely will not be seeing iRebel.
Anakin/Vader probably never realises it, but it is made clear to the audience.
Jaxson Cook
OH MAN THEY NEVER SHOWED LEIA GROWING UP WITH THE ORGANAS, I GUESS IT NEVER HAPPENED
Colton Rodriguez
>Anakin/Vader probably never realises it, but it is made clear to the audience.
Yeah, again, I get that. But said >then palpatine basically reveals to him that he was created by him and his master via the force.
Sheev didn't reveal shit to Anakin, he revealed it to us, the audience.
Matthew Reyes
Jus' sayin'
Asher Parker
> Sheev didn't reveal shit to Anakin, he revealed it to us, the audience. > By telling Anakin.
Alexander Jenkins
Just because he said something in a cryptic way that only the audience can understand doesn't mean he never said it.
I never claimed ambiguity.
Aaron Johnson
>parents and uncle lie about grandfather being great hero >start worshipping him for taking down evil empire >find out he was evil empire >start worshipping him for evil
Unless kylos autistic, this makes no sense
Luke Powell
But anakin didn't understand shit about it
nothing got "revealed" did it?
Xavier Davis
Sheev is implying it, but Anakin is too out dumb to understand it. I mean, he literally turns to look at him mid-speech and then slows down to emphasise "to create life".
Michael Foster
So if I told you you're parents were actually weren't your parents but you didn't understand the concept, I never told you they weren't your parents?
Jaxon Lee
>Lucas creates the Galactic Empire as an amlgamation of all authoritarian regimes, most notably the British Empire, the Third Reich, the Roman Empire (and the rise of Augustus), of course paying homage to Asimov's original GE >Jay Jay Binks has stormies sieg heil while the nazi fur coat guy shouts his dialogue like hitler, it's a nazi parallel, get it mate? XD)))))))))
Alexander Davis
Yeah it did, you dumb shit. Quit arguing.
Sheev revealed it even if Anakin didn't connect the dots.
Camden Smith
It was actually -by comparison- far more subtly in the Prequels. It was so overt and hamfisted in TFA, it felt like a straight-to-DVD piece of shit.
Sorry autist but George nearly ruined his own franchise when he put himself in charge of everything.
Gabriel Morgan
He sounds like a true autistic person. I don,t think it's true avatarfagging, just some OCD symptoms related to his severe autism.
Brody Mitchell
>i didn't like it so it was ruined grow up
Dominic Murphy
I finally watched this film as an in flight movie and fuck me it was terrible. Everything about it was bad. The plot, the casting, the acting, the dialogue. Some of the visuals were nice, but fuck what an awful film.
Luis Adams
It's all being told in the books.
Not even kidding mate, that's how it works now.
The Lucasfilm Story Group announced that all media (movies, comics, books, cartoons, ect) is equally Canon.
People called bullshit, but they've stayed true to their word.
Literally everything we know about Poe and Finn is from a couple books and comics. And now the newest book is explaining Leia and Kylo, and also all the political shit.
TFA was just a bunch of action scenes to move the plot forward a bit.
The Star Wars movies will be all the general important events for the normies to get, but if you want actual backstory shit, it'll all be in the other media. They are literally never going to have any Finn/Poe/Kylo backstory in the movies. Their roles/characters are determined already. They will save Rey's backstory for the movies though, because that's where all the twists seem to be hidden.
Xavier Thompson
Nobody liked it.
Connor Mitchell
TFA is pretty much a fanfilm with a good budget, but no new ideas to make a new world in cinema.
As such, they resort to Godwinning the Empire, when it wasn't a pure nazi parallel in the first place. Asimov's GE was the basis for Lucas's re-imagining (if the name DARTH Vader speaks for anything), but there's also the British vs Americans pottery, plus "older imperial guys vs younger rebel heroes" aspect (yes, there were exceptions, but still).
In TFA they weirdly made the First Order out of young actors (and Snoke), even though Jay Jay described them "runaway nazis hiding in Argentina", so they should have been old grizzled veterans.
Aaron Walker
I liked it.
Jack Parker
>it needs to be spelled out for me because i have the comprehension of giraffe
Levi Taylor
Implications are ambiguous by nature.
It was ambiguous in the prequels, he could be Qui-Gon's kid, or Dooku's, Palpatine's or Plagueis's. The latter suggestion just has the dialogue to back it up.
David Sullivan
You're a nobody. Of course you liked it.
Jack Perez
>I cling to childrens movies directed by a a manchild
Kevin Martin
You're unambiguously retarded.
Henry Perez
A manchild liking a children movie made by another manchild... what is so wrong with that?
Josiah Taylor
>George did the lineage pottery with luke This theme is taken from DUNE, Paul Atreides is actually from the Harkonnen house.
See pic related
Ethan Hernandez
>Implications are ambiguous by nature. Not even close to being true.
Landon Ward
>take the same scenes, remake them with more flashiness this is what TFA is criticized for where did the autistic prequel defense force come from? Did TFA being such a lazy job really make everyone turn full contrarian?
Mason Collins
>recreating specific scenes to help tell the story is the same thing as recreating the story
Adam Sullivan
Retard.
Grayson Nguyen
George Lucas lost sight of what star wars really is, a space fantasy, and tried to turn it into a serious discussion about government while also intercutting bits of jar jar binks stepping in shit. He failed miserably. Lucas does not come close in any way to Asimov.
Lincoln Baker
>starshit >movies made for children >logic
Logan Sanders
Nothing really actually. I'm just thankful those people aren't making star wars movies.
Justin Adams
sound like the plot of an average Bold and The Beautiful episode
Liam Baker
>Snoke is just some CG monster There's a lot wrong with TFA, but this might hurt the most.
Mason Powell
i can definitely get behind this whole dog image shitposting
